Always good games when those 2 teams play i'm not sure about the Oilers defence this year and i'm not sure that Tanguay is the key for the Flames offence but the game is played on the ice will follow those teams closely.

yeah they lack a goaltender like my bucs lack a quarterback. we'll see. I will give torterella credit when he did call out his goaltenders last year during a press conference, that was spot on imo.

Hell yes!!!! I'm soooo excited about this season. I got my regular season tickets about 15 rows up behind the goal the Lightning go at for the 1st and 3rd periods. Also my pops has 2 tickets on the glass for 8 games this year so I'm really pumped about that.

Don't forget [B]Martin St. Louis [/B]and they signed Marc Denis for in the net so we will see what he can do. He looked pretty good in the preseason. Why do you think Tortorella is an idiot? If I remember correct didn't he win coach of the year and take them from one of the worst teams in the league to winning the Stanley Cup. I think they have made the playoffs 3 seasons in a row excluding the strike year.

By the way the Bolts are now 1-0 after the shootout win @ ATL last night. Anyone see the stat on Kovalchuk in shootouts? Last year he was 1-10 and last night Denis stopped him to seal the deal for the Bolts. That's pretty hard to believe that a player of his caliber is 1-11 in shootouts.

my favorite sport is back and better than ever... still loving the leafs 6-0 beatdown of the sens last night.... i don't expect big things from the leafs this year but after the first game it was nice to see some life. and jesus, blackhawks score 8... against nashville.... it's going to be a fun year...

I have a good backgroung i was involved 14 years as either coach or scout and i will always remember when Dan Briere scored 11 points in one game playing Midget AAA.

Went and saw the Blue Jackets play Phoenix and I have to say that Nikolai Zherdev is one fun player to watch... not discounting Nash, Carter or Foote but jeez this kid has wheels.... Nice win for the Leafs as well tonight... Still no points for the Islanders with the Kings and Ducks next up on the road. My hope for them going 0-82 is still alive....

our defense is fine. we picked up daniel tarnqvuist and ladislav smid already, and will more than likely get another big name d-man with our remianing budget. we also have two of the most reliable defensemen in the league in steve staios and jason smith, and a great up-and-coming player in matt greene. my only concern is bergeron, who i'd like to see us trade. plus, we've been experimenting with a 5 forward power-play, which would definitely give the defense a needed rest.

and our main problem last year (as to why we entered the playoffs in the last spot in the west) was our goal tending. now that we have roloson, i'm seriously not concerned at all. probably the best collection of forwards in the league + a more than capable defense + a fantastic goalie (and backup goalie) = the oilers this season.

we're 1-1 so far, and we're gonna kick the crap outta the sharks on thursday, just like we did in the playoffs.

this is gonna be a great season....

holy shit... it's nights like tonight that make me glad i play the game and ordered center ice.. buffalo is fucking nuts good. jesus, 6 goals in the second!! fun game to watch... especially since it was against philly. edmonton playing good as well...

I've been an oilers fan for quite sometime and i'm really hoping they can make it pretty far once again this year... it was awesome watching them get past the first round last season :)

doug fucking gilmour. along with messier, he was the last of that great generation of tough skill players playing center or forward. nowadays its primadonnas.

add in felix potvin who spent more time telling the youth to learn in school, well, that mid 90's leaf team was something to appreciate.

flames are crap so far this year. if it weren't for kipper, they would be even worse. tanguay hasn't exactly been the saviour everyone was hoping for...

Sabres are 10-0 baby!! looking to make it 11-0 tongiht against atlanta, which i believe will be their niggest challenge this year. if they win tonight i expect them to go at least 14-0 to open the season. GO SABRES!!
