Re: pedro martinez DONE
Post season baseball (sports for that matter) is its own entity. You can't really extrapolate regular season results and predict a winner so easiily; If you could it would be pointless, rather than what it is: the best theater you ever get to see.
Playoffs are as much a test of heart and determination as they are stats and numbers. Teams get hot an emotions run high. Shit, the Astros could go from a .500 team to world series champs this year, we will have to watch the games and find out.
That said (am I rationalizing enough yet) the thing I have liked best about this Met team since the very first week of the season is not that they win games, but HOW they win games. For this reason, I like them in the post season. I don't care what they've done in these last 10 games, I don't care who's hurt, I don't care who they are facing.
Bring them all on. If we loose I promise you we will do it fighting. And if we win, I will have told you so.
