Re: liriano done for season...

well i gotta throw my hat in and respectfully disagree with the whole blame it on the Twins organization take.

for one he has a history of problems with injury, and two the twins did baby him. they shut him down for six weeks before putting him back on the mound. they had him do strength training, then playing catch, then throwing bp, then a warmup in triple AAA ball. also the word here in minneapolis is that he wasn't doing the necessary maintenence to keep himself in shape. he wasn't doing his running/biking and he was not doing the necessary light strength/resistance training to keep his arm up.

that being said, no pitcher in the first half of the season was a dominant as he was. ok maybe Verlander in Detroit.

all in all a MAJOR buzzkill for a kid who looked like he had all the tools to be a serious force for years to come. now the twins have Santana and a whole lotta unreliable young arms.oh well we will still be in the playoffs!

Re: liriano done for season...

well he did pitch 120 innings before he fist went on the dl, and for me the facts speak for himself, he didnt spend enough time rehabing. For me thats the oranizations fault, hes only 23, you need to baby the shit out of pitchers and the first sign of injury esspeually in the pitch arm you shut him down. When i look at brillant pitchers who go screwed by there organization just look at prior and wood of the cubs, just awful. But trust me froma fans point of view, i know about you talent and injuries, but for use, harden is gonna pitch on thursday, and yes he is way tighter then larino or verlander, my my guess is you havent even seen him pitch, thats how the a's rolll

Re: liriano done for season...

dude, pryor and wood are pussies. no offense to them but they are just injury prone. they both were given ample time, multiple times to get back. its just the way it is. they arent MLB material. they dont have the arms for it.

Re: liriano done for season...

diggers at 4am is filthy. sasha at midnight is fluffy. zambrano is VERY filthy.

shit, didnt anyone take advanced logic in college?> its a requirement for any business degree.

  1. I have a degree in Writing and English Literature, they don't give a shit about Advanced Logic.

  2. to me, both sasha and diggers are fluffy no matter what time it is.

so, i didn't pick up on your analogy using your method, however, i know you're a baseball fanatic, and you couldn't possibly be one of those without acknowledging Zambrano is indeed filthy.

soooooo, i figured out the answer to your analogy a different way, ie - being creative- which IS a requirement for Literature. :p

Re: liriano done for season...

dont you build kitchens? kinda went the other way there.

but yeah, zambrano, if healthy will be a lessor clemens in the making. LOT of power, semi good conrtol, slider that can make ppl fall over themselves swinging.. and he is built like roger too. MONSTER upper torso.
