just got off the phone with rubyraks, and that lucky bastard had tix for tonight and watched it live.

one of the best tennis matches i have ever seen. intense, passionate, and simply great.

also, bagdaghtis earned many many kudos from the NYC crowd with his remarkable show of humility and sportsmanship and knowldedge and repsect of agassi's career it was awesome, not to mention, HEART, which, if you ask don mattingly, paul o neill or mike piazza, earns you more than anything outside of rings in these parts.

thank god i have been able to attend or watch agassi's last two US opens. he is truly a king of sport. its been a pleasure watchign him all my life.

i understand he shouldnt win this thing with federer and a renewed roddick, not mention about 3-4 others, but it really is a pleasure knowing, that no matter what, he is going out in style, playing the hardest he can, and giving even the best, a tough run in front of the crowd that always wanted to be his home crowd.

Great match, I dozed off in the second set, and then woke up with AA up 4-0 in the 4th and was like WTF? already being a fan of MB, that was not up to his standards. I couldn't pick the exact turning point in the match, but those topspin lobs he was hitting as AA was charging the next certainly were key.

It was great to see him find his game and come charging back and prolly would have won except for the cramping. Nevertheless you have seal the deal and that is what Agassi did. I'll chalk that up to devine intervention for these two meeting so early in the draw, this would have made for a great semi-final (but Agassi is unranked so what do you expect?)

Now the rest of his bracket should be relatively easier as MB was the big gun in there. Like I said before I have tix for next Thurs quarterfinal so I'm preying he can hang on till then so I can get to show my appreciation in person like you lucky SOBs.

best match i have ver seen minus sampras throwing up on the court during the us open about 6 years ago, winning then fucking raping everyone from there on out. best of luck to agassi. last night was a remarkable win.
