On ESPN radio, Colin Herd just reported that Ben Rothlesburger has been involved in a motorcycle accident and was not wearing a helmet. The report said that police have closed down the bridge, 2nd ave and Armstrong tunnels. He left the scene in an ambulance. It was stated that this happened around 45 minutes ago. I am not a Steeler fan but my thoughts and prayers go out to BIG Ben, his family and the whole Steelers organization and their fans.

So I'm listening to Andrew Siciliano on Fox Spots Radio on the way home from work, and some idiot calls in and say he doesn't wear a helmet in states that don't require one. Andrew asks him why and he says "Because it feels better." :roll: I wanted to call and ask "Do you think Ben thinks it feels better??" Fucking moron.

This just goes to show that people are going to be stupid no matter what happens. Roethlisberger almost kills himself and this dumbass still thinks he's a badass by not wearing a helmet. Then they read quotes off of Ben's website from last year after he came out and said he didn't wear a helmet while riding. One of them was from a mother that said her 9 year old daughter said she didn't think she needed to wear a helmet because Ben Roethlisberger didn't. Do you think that even crossed his mind?? Doubt it. :x

This reminds me of the classic Gary Bussey story how he was an advocate against Motorcycle Helmet laws. He went on to have an accident in which he suffered a head injury, and then changed his mind. :LMAO:

Just a follow up to my first post: in his contract it states that he can't ride during the season. Other QBs such as Tom Brady have a clause prohibiting them from riding at all. ESPN did a story about this very subject a few months ago featuring BR (pwn3d) and Bill Cowher with interviews from both, Cowher bascially said "he's a big boy and I won't tell him how to live his life." Err, perhaps you should have.
