well, whose still watching?? i just got home from game 6 of oilers vs san jose...and what a game. it was bloody loud in that building when we got the second goal...

we got lucky in game one. both teams were pretty sluggish.
i'm hoping for a sabres vs edmonton final, but i'm obviously not rooting for buffalo ;)

oil cans in 5 against the quacks and i'd be shocked if the sabres/canes series goes less than 7. the east is way to tight to predict imo but i do believe who ever wins that series will beat the oilers in 6.... i know, i know but the oilers have to run out of gas (no pun intended) eventually.... just a gut feeling.

i'm cheering for whichever team is down in the series in the east...want that to go 7 games for sure. we need time to rest, its been a pretty tiring run so far.
gotta end the ducks early tonight...get up a couple of goals and choke off their offense in the neutral zone. little 1-4 formation, box them to the outside. hopefully we're all feeling better after that flu spread like wildfire through the team.

I think if Edmonton has any shot in the finals they absolutely have to win tonight and have the sabres/canes go a minimum of six games for the time off. They need a hot start tonight. On offense they need to park a guy in the crease, pester Giguere and keep the puck deep and on defense the forwards have to do a better job of backchecking... If they don't win this game tonight I think they're in some serious trouble... they have to be running on pure fumes right now.

^^ good god... that game was yours way before rolly went out and then the oilers went brain dead..... (shorthanded breakaway ring a bell?). but you're right, this team with conklin, and that absolute brain dead play he made behind the net to give up the winning goal, could be in some serious trouble. i won't count them out yet though. this team has alot of heart but they're going to need every ounce of it come game two.

oilers all the way, depsite the two game deficit. fuck carolina, the more i watch the replay the more i think they took out our goalie intentionally. if thats how they need to win, then fine. they can choke on their sips outta the cup

i dunno...he was going directly at roloson even without bergeron hitting him towards the net. they've been crashing both goalies in this series. hell...i can't remember who it was in game two who skated by markinnen and blatantly hooked him (he got a goaltender interference call)...i mean c'mon, you already took out our #1 Conn-Smythe-contender goalie. now you need to be hooking our backup too!?!

^^ i know where you're coming from on this.... they've (the entire nhl) been crashing the goalies this year more than I can ever remember and I'm sure that Carolina said to themselves after Hemsky scored that diving goal in game one that they were going straight to the goal as well.... I just don't think that it was intentional by any stretch and even Rolly, Bergeron and Ladd said as much....

ohhh what a game. i could harldy watch the third period it was so bloody tense. smyth's goal was ugly as all get up, but i'll take it.
thank god we pulled this one out...one more home win and we're back in the thick of things.

ugh........ 2 zip, cam ward's on fire, oilers standing around with a two man advantage and then get a penalty half way through. can't blame jusse for either goal.... puck's just bouncing the canes way right now and they just look plain fresher.

Oilers came out strong at the beginning of the third, got that goal and then just lost their legs midway through.... Well at least hockey (nhl variety) is back.... congrats to the oilers for a great playoff run and to the hurricanes for winning the hardest trophy to win in all of north american professional sports.. and the coolest (no pun intended).

ya bob cole is a fucking jackass. i just sent an email to the cbc telling them he should be fired...he was so blatantly cheering for Carolina it was disgusting. he was just pissed cause the leafs didnt make the playoffs that he'd cheer for any eastern team.
ohh and FUCK the huricanes. i have little to no respect for that team. had our star goalie not been taken out the first game we'd have wiped the floor with this second rate team. its absolutely tragic that such a shit city won the cup...they couldnt even fill their building for the finals. there were oilers fans everywhere there. if we had to lose, i would have at least liked to lose to a city who gives a shit about hockey...or understands the game for that matter.
