Funny though, if England didn`t qualify and Scotland did I would cheer them on every game. If it was the other way round most Scots would cheer the oposition on. Why is that?

you defo have a point there. I'm irish and its the same buzz over here. the reason for this is the english press plain and simple.

England will have my support though if only yis had rooney I would say you would have a realistic chance but up front england will strugle imho

argh this is dodgy territory to get into....i,m going to try to do this without causing shit lol...its far from jealousy, its more annoyance, right this is going to be hard to explain,

right first of all you live in england and if you were having to sit through scottish football on the tv BEFORE the english games you'd be a little pissed off about it? yea ? or watching the sport on the news go through scots premier for half an hour then go from division 1 to 40 in great detail for scottish leagues then spend about 30 seconds doing the english premiership and then moving onto cricket...this is the way it is for us...the english have total control of the main media and therefore " do themselves" before doing where there actually broadcasting to if that makes sense......even sitting watching the world cup or something where say the english team were knocked out on the first round and u would be sitting watching the final and the commentator is sitting commentating on the game between brazil and argenteena and he's talking about how ronaldo has just done a move similar to rooney or how england would of done it this way or that way or some shit like that...its not jealousy its fucking annoying lmao :lol: ..years and years of this sort of thing has sucked the life out of scottish football and gradually weekened away its fan base so we dont have the funds to have decent players/ground etc as many people have just stopped being interested in football because of this....i guess its ingrained in our culture to want every other team to win appart from england...i bet its even got to do with the " auld enemy "...its harmless fun...

If I remember rightly they were simulating a drinking game that they played once. Was it called the chair ? Not to sure but I think one guy sat in a chair while others poured alcohol down his throat. I may be totaly off mark here though.

And back on topic - Gerrard is a fucking legend. What a goal, and the other wasn't bad either, nor was the pass for the Cisses. Sven needs to watch that game again and get the same from him for England, we're going to need it.
