Didn't have time to make a post about it now, but Luan Krasniqi (GER/ALB) defeated David Bostice (USA) last weekend with the following score:

Krasniqi vs Bostice 99-92, 99-92, 99-91 Pretty awsome match and a deserved win on points. Man, you really have to hand it to the guy: he's 34 and he still stands his ground as a heavyweight. It was even during the last three of ten rounds that Luan gave a demonstration of what he's capable of. Much respect to The Lion!

Since Wladimir Klitschko won IBF World title last weekend, he will be subsequently removed from WBO list, to enable Luan to climb higher at the top position with WBO ranking list and become official challenger to Liahkovich, who is currently the WBO champion, after defeating Brewster on 1st April 2006. Luan hopes to challenge Liahkovich this year and if it does happen, it will be around October. So, folks get ready, its getting exciting again. Yeeehaaaaaaa :wanna fi:
go white boy. When is the last time we had a white champ?
That would be just before white boys all of a sudden turned into white girls who are afraid to get their pretty face smashed and when boxing got the image of a sport for brutes or for people from the lowest levels of society :Bullshit:

People who do full contact sports (I'm talking about boxing, thai/kickboxing, ..., not about karate, ju-jitsu and so on) will confirm that it's a lot more than just getting in the ring and getting beaten to shit by a guy who you're trying to tear apart yourself. Like most people I had the same prejudice until I started kickboxing. Now I know it's one of the hardest sports around because of the intensive training (cardio, strength, stamina, agility, ...).

Apart from that, it's NOT about punching your oponent into intensive care. You respect the guy who stands in front of you and you try to win in beauty (technical KO on points) rather than a real KO.

Yeah, it's great that Luan is doing such a great job. I really think he has a good chance to win the heavyweight title. I don't really care about him being black or white, but I think it's great to see a European (he's an Albanian living in Germany) rising up in the ranks. Just to give you an idea: out of a total of 30 fights, he won 28 (14 with KO)...Not bad for a "white guy" eh? ;)
