Re: Barca vs. Chelsea!!!
last year vs barca they felt cheated as drogba got ejected (never saw the game unfortunately so I can't comment). Then in their loss to liverpool they claimed the goal by garcia never crossed the line.
the drogba sending off was harsh, it was for two bookings, and the second was for minimal contact with the keeper challenging for a ball. and after a bazillion replays, i still absolutely do not think the ball crossed the line against liverpool (keep in mind that i am a spurs fan and was rooting for liverpool in that game, i hate chelski)
But yea, I was watching the whole game without sound since I was at some restaurant bar, so I got to sort of watch without being influenced by the commentators, but I was definitely suprised that he got the straight red... although when you watch in real time, it looks like a massive hit on messi. It was unlucky on Chelsea's part, I think, because it was all at such fast pace, no one had time to get out of anyone elses way...
yeah, and thats what the ref said too, said it looks way nastier in real time, and i'd agree, but i still think a red was very harsh. that being said, it was probably a booking for sure, and del horno was extremely lucky not to get at least that for the tackle before on messi when he connected with his knee - that one could have been a straight red imo.
But the advantages went both ways I think. I saw two clear fouls in the penalty box, one just before half was the handball, the other in the second half john terry leveled messi, then handled the ball with his arms.
completely agree, those definately should have been penalties, for both handballs and for the foul on messi.
But I agree, Ronaldinho is in a class of his own, and Messi played amazing as well. Can't wait to see what they are like at the Camp Nou. Ronnie was keeping it away from 2, even 3 guys at certain points. That's why I love watching barca play, it's like watching an athletic genius at the top of his game...
yup, ronaldinho was toying with them at the end there, and messi just ran rings around them, what a player he is!
I don't know how people can say soccer is boring if they watch a game like that.
its because they are used to thrill a second sports like baseball :what
