Outfielder Sammy Sosa has rejected the one-year, $500,000 non-guaranteed Major League offer from the Nationals, according to general manager Jim Bowden in an e-mail to MLB.com.
And even that may be a question mark. NY, Boston and Toronto are going to be back and forth all year - I cannot friggin wait.
Re: baseball gets going tomorrow
the yanks might break the all time runs scored record. their 9th batter is a second year player who hit 297 in his rookie season and is compared to rod carew....
top of lineup is SCARY...damon, jeter, sheffeild, AROD, matsui,
Re: baseball gets going tomorrow

I don't know why but I have this feeling that Clemens is going to want to play one more season and finish winning a championship. So waht's the best spot for him? Hmmmmm...the Yankees.Yeah I'll take him anyday.
Re: baseball gets going tomorrow

Re: baseball gets going tomorrow
Zzzzzzzz...Nothing like watching a bunch of out of shape marginally talented whiners while sitting next to a shirtless drunk idiot...
Re: baseball gets going tomorrow
lol, soccer vs baseball.
we should have beckham and bonds fight it out
Re: baseball gets going tomorrow
^^^^ ooh... i'll bet you on that one...
Re: baseball gets going tomorrow
lol, you better take bonds. man is like a 265 lb juicehead.
Re: baseball gets going tomorrow
all beckham would have to do is kick him in that junk knee of his.

Yanks are going to score runs, but do you really think what you listed above is going to scare teams? In addition, Randy had a below average year and is one year older (although he beat up on the sox) and after that mussina is a question mark at this point in his career, pavano - how's his shoulder doing, etc...
Sox have a lot of ifs, but hopefully come around. I actually am surprised at how good of an off season the blue jays had. They're a legitimate team now...
Re: baseball gets going tomorrow
considering they went 25-8 in uniform, yes. and they were all supposed to be stopgaps
considering they went 25-8 in uniform, yes. and they were all supposed to be stopgaps
Valid point, but they still don't really scare me...

The Red Sox and White Sox won the W.S. the last two years... ANYTHING can happen..... I picking the Devil Rays to win it all.
Re: baseball gets going tomorrow
Wishful thinking.
typical yankee fan response.
The White Sox re-signed those they had to re-sign, made an big trade to put more oomph in the lineup and solidified an already devistating rotation. The White Sox are the team to beat in '06, and i don't know how you figure any differently, especially the way they smoked everyone in the playoffs.
Re: baseball gets going tomorrow
white sox are actually better than they were. scary. their staff is a monster

Don't pick on my home team bro!!! we got the stanley cup and the super bowl in the last few years so next is the world series.
Re: baseball gets going tomorrow
what, me pick on the rays? tropicana is the nicest park in all of baseball. great location, lovely architecture, extremely fan friendly.... factor in their top notch baseball organization/management, the loyal 500 or so fan base and you have a winner in my book....
Re: baseball gets going tomorrow
