Re: World Cup Draw

could be a tought group for England, but i think they can win all 3 and Sweden will be by far the toughest opponent.

Re: World Cup Draw

that's funny I looked at that and said England's through no problem. As for the US on the other hand, no way in hell. Italy and the Czechs...that's just unfair. Will discuss the other groups at a later time...

Canada is not there!!!! Fuck this i am not watching it!

The groups seem properly balanced, 2 good teams with 2 weak teams each. Should be a good matchup

Re: World Cup Draw

I just hope our fans behave themselves .. Thats more important than the football IMO fed up of all us football fans being branded as hooligans by the rest of europe because we got 100 dickheads that are only interested in causing trouble.Over 40,000 english will go over to Germany but we'll only see pictures of 100 hooligans accross the papers

England fans behaving themselves in Germany? you've got to be kidding, they'll be going to Germany in T-shirts saying "2 wars and a world cup". You watch them when England get knocked out, they're gonna cause chaos. They'll bring shame to the country yet again.

I feel sorry for the normal fans who just want to see the football.

Re: World Cup Draw

should be easy for Portugal.. the hardest to beat will be Mexico for sure and it will be interesting to see a game between two countries that speaks portuguese, Portugal and Angola, lets wait to see.

Re: World Cup Draw

i don't see the Netherlands beating Argentina that easily, but it should be fun: we have an Argentinean princess...I'd like to see her sit with the hardcore fans of Argentina, and our prince at the other side, heheheh...

Brazil and France have gotten an easy ride IMO...

Yao, if Portugal goes through, they?ll play someone from your group next.

Wonder if we?ll meet again like in the Euro 2004? If so, I?m afraid...your team seems stronger now than then.

As for Portugal?s group, I don?t like it when we draw against theoretically weak teams...we always go in there thinking it?s easy peasy and then get screwed royally. I always remember that game against the USA in the 2002 World Cup.

And I hope the game against Angola doesn?t turn out like the one a 3 years ago, where they ended earlier because of 5 guys from Angola being sent off. We used to be the colonizers there, so that game looked like revenge for them.

Re: World Cup Draw

lol

Well, I still think Portugal has a great team, and looking at the past...Portugal still has the better cards IMO. The Dutch may be good players, but somehow rarely seem to actually act as a 'team'...I don't know, but something's always missing in their play. And they need to get that finishing touch: put the ball behind the goalie a bit more often ;)

Re: World Cup Draw

No real decent groups IMO, cannot see an upset anywhere really. Mind you there are some awful teams in there this year, Angola, Togo, Trinidad, Japan - these countries will bring nothing to the tournament IMO

these are my prayers indeed, i hope it can go well  that game 3 years ago it was a crap, i remember it well the way they played, tough and hard almost wanting to broke portuguese players legs, probably it will be a lot of different now, i hope.

If we go through we will play against Netherlands or Argentina.. theorically, they're both good teams but i'd prefer to play against Netherlands 8)

For my 2nd country, Italy, they're f*cked'up

Re: World Cup Draw

Believe me, we have worse acts so PvD could be a better choice but this is not going to happen. I bet it will be an Orchestra and a group of singers or something like this...or this stupid Sarah Connor (German pop diva  ) again who was not even able to sing our national Anthem correctly in the last event she opened. :x

Re: World Cup Draw

well seen as ireland have a shit international team with things looking bad for the next 2 major compentions due to lack of talent and currently managerless, I will be supporting england in the world cup.

Re: World Cup Draw

thanks man like wise when it comes to the dutch. I was in portugal during the european championships on holiday and I went down to watch them train one of the days. hopefully we can start making things happen in the next couple of years or else we risk being out in the wilderness for a long time....
