Starts Thurday. Let go Wings. But I have feeling there going to get there ass whooped this yr b/c there team is way to old. I think either tampa or vancouver will win the cup this yr. But calargy has a good chance as well. Sorry philly fans but I think you need a better goaltender before you can go all the way.

Actually I am pretty pumped up....

I really started getting into hockey in 2003...and actually got to go to a stanely cup playoff game in 2004 which was insane....

I just hope tampa is as strong with the loss of habby.....

Personally I think hockey is probably the best sport to view live.....continous-high energy- phsical action... unlike football which takes 50 seconds betweeen each play ...hockey is pretty much straight continous action...

Fookin' ell what a game! 5-2 Lightning and looked very strong. Either that or Carolina just sucked balls. Looked up at the scoreboard and noticed that the Kings were beating Dallas 4-0 in the 1st Period!!! Now I look at espn.com and see that Dallas came back to win 5-4. WTF???

What is your thoughts on the new penalty shoot-out rule for tie games? Good entertainment value for sure! Not sure if this is how a game should be decided though especially when you bust your ass for 65 minutes.

umm, regular season games have never gone to triple OT...only playoff games go until someone wins.

yeah OLN definetly needs to up the ante.. they need better graphics and better camera men, it seemed to me that the camera guys lost the puck a lot..

as far as someone saying that the nhl need to be on a less obscure network, how do you think networks become popular? they need to start somewhere..

The new rules are great. And I agree the shootout is bullshit. They need to eliminated the if your tied after regulation you get a point. If you lose in OT, that's your tough luck, no points for you.

And mad props to Manny Legace. After a number of year being the Red Wings backup and not complaining about it, his success is well deserved. He better be an all - star.
