Yeah, I figured they might be able to play spoiler for somebody, so at least they are doing that. I really need this team to finish at .500 or better for this season to be considered a success (a very marginal success, but after the last few years, there's only so much you can expect)

Either way, I'm too focused on football to even bother to hate the Yankees right now, that's probably why they are doing so well. Don't worry though, I will regroup and get back on track for the post season, :twisted: ;)

I predicted the White Sox sucking wind at the end of the season. Cleveland is EN FUEGO! There is a lot of youth on that team and they're going to be good for many years to come.

I really hate that the Stros are probably going to make it in. I think we'll beat them, but i'd still rather not play fucking houston.

agreed with it, but pulling for Mo in CY. if the yanks end up winning it over boston, i think he will get it, he has been HUGE lately.

also, there is a ton of sentiment for jones still and if he has a ""vlad type"" ending to the season it should put him over the top..

PS did you see the article on Pujols in ESPN mag? if not, pick it up. its a good one

Did not pick up that ESPN article yet, but i will. I saw Pujols on Sportscenter's Sunday Conversation last week. Man, i've known it all along because we get to see him on a regular basis here in STL, but the guy is all class. He's always giving the nod to his team and other players before himself. It's rare to find someone with his numbers and his talent be so humble.

I would just like to see New Orleans win the World Series. They are America's team right now. Their pitching is a bit off atm, but I think they're definitely going to make a run for the wild card.
