major league sports would do best to create a hybrid of a flat salary cap, lower than it is now and a base salary for the players that is much lower than current contracts, then add in incentive clauses, of which superb play is rewarded and allowable to exceed the cap in cases like douchebag peyton, and the entire pats team and the yanks of the late 90's/cardinals of current. if we keep giving them money for nothing, then they will take advantage.

Head Coach Andy Reid confronted T.O. about that and also about him not doing other team responsibilities like autograph sessions with fans and talking to other players.
