I hope not. There are quite a few better teams. I think the French have the most quality, although my favourites are still the dutch.
So Russia is definitely going home, while the Greeks are almost certainly moving forward... What a surprise. Go Greece?
No future for a Greece in this competiton. And I am really disappointed because of Portugal. What is going on with them.....
What makes you say that Greece has no future in this competition?

Atleast they r doing good so far.....and we r very happy. Look at your team mate! They r not even in the competition. GO HELLAS!!!

We ll see about that mate. How can you ever be so sure? That's what everyone was saying before the match against Portugal. The host nation of Euro could not simply lose that game. But we beat them 2-1 and we drew yesterday with Spain! How beautiful was that? So far Greece are the only team that have qualified towards the next round. It is highly possible that Toti will pack his bags back home, due to his behaviour during the match against Denmark

What?? No team has yet qualified for the knockout stages yet. If Greece lose to Russia, they will only be eliminated if Portugal beat Spain by a smaller margin than Greece lose to Russia OR if the goal difference is equal (between Spain and Greece) and Spain have scored the same or greater number of goals in all three group matches as Greece.

Hmmm, thats because Locombia is not in Europe... they are playing in the CONMEBOL qualifiers for the World Cup...and let me think.. ah yes they are the current champions of South America

England 3 - 0 Switzerland

23' , 75' Rooney

82' Gerrard

GO ENGLAND :Bingo:

#200488Post 51 of 387

Well it wasnt the best game weve ever played and we were certainly not class this time but a result is a result and we get he 3 points thank god. One thing is for sure though is we have a new hero in the shape of a young Evertonion called Rooney. Go on my son. :Bingo:

#200501Post 52 of 387

yup, performance left a lot to be desired. good job that swiss bloke got sent off really. rooney was good again although we could be in trouble in the next round if he picks up another booking against croatia.

why was totti only banned for 3 games? he could be back for the semi's if italy get through. he should have been sent home altogether.

#200591Post 53 of 387

Well, a nice couple of days for me...

We beat Russia 2-0 last night, and the country partied like we hab become European Champions. Sadly, that?s not going to happen : we didn?t really play that well, were lucky to be up against 10 all 2nd half, but at least our coach showed some balls and put up a decent starting line-up, throwing hasbeens like Rui Costa and Couto in the bench.

We now HAVE to beat Spain, which is not going to be easy. My heart believes in a victory, but my brain doesn?t. It?s another episode in our 900-year old rivalry.

I was very happy to see England win, and to see Rooney proving me wrong and shutting me up...you might actually have a new Lineker! Still, the result was bit too heavy for the Swiss.

Last but not least, France had a draw, but should have lost and are far from being convincing. Unfortunately, I have this feeling they?ll take this one home, beacuse they?re LUCKY BASTARDS!!

Finally, for the 3rd day in a row, English "fans" started shit in the Algarve. Algarve is like our version of Ibiza, and we?re used to having Brits around, and welcome them every time, but what did these assholes come here to do now? Certainly not to enjoy the football. There was one Irish asshat who stole an ambulance while the medics were assisting an injured person!!

#200617Post 54 of 387

I vote for Portugal!!! its always makes an tournament alot more fun when the home team do well!

The African French guy ... on of 90% of the team ... had his hand on the ball when he scored ... not fair!!

... Still ... it was a really cool game ... actually a really cool second half.

well, but if Sweden wins against Denmark and i Italians beat Bulgaria, Swedes go home. Although I hope they are staying. Definitely a nice game today. It was fun to see the Italians stop cheering. 8) And I certainly hope the Italians are going home. They're a bunch of ignorant self-centred posers anyway.

#201852Post 63 of 387

I'm so sick of hearing how France is this and France is that. Outside of Zidane, they are crap. Veira complains about being fouled and says the Englash are dirty, he cant stand on his own feet, and is always pulling people down, and going in studs up. They have played about 25 minutes of decent football, and have 4 points. Amazing. A bs call against Heskey and a dodgy back pass in one match, and then a handball goal in the next to save a point. Le Bleu is not the class of this tournament, far from it, and Henry has been invisible. I think Denmark and Sweden are playing very well. But the Threelions are bringing it home, after they beat Le Bleu in the final. They'll be there I'm sure, the refs are going to make sure of it :P

what are you talking about? Sweden advance if the win or tie against Denmark! If Sweden and Denmark play 2-2 they both advance no matter if Italy beat bulgaria 100-0... This is beautiful!

#201986Post 65 of 387

Well if the Swedes beat Denmark in the final game and the Italians beat Bulgaria, then the Italians should advance to the next round (along with the Swedes) Isnt it premature to say the Italy is out??????

#201988Post 66 of 387

Yeah, it?s premature, but it?s also wishful thinking. I hope they sod off.

We?ll miss their women, though...

#202112Post 67 of 387

Italy is out! :KizzMuhA:

#202130Post 68 of 387

Go Greece! 8)

#202176Post 69 of 387

lmao at the germans.

fucking shite.

#202183Post 70 of 387

Sorry. too much :Blazed: yesterday. I should have written if Denmark beats Swedenand Italy wins against Bulgaria. THEN, Sweden would have to go home, but I don't think they will. I apologize again or the mistake.

Now, after Germans played 0:0 with Latvia, this should be an interesting game: Holland : Chezc republic.. Go Dutch.

#202226Post 71 of 387

Czechs :Anal: Netherland :D

#202230Post 72 of 387

Holland - Czech Rep. : What a great game this was! The tournament sure needed this.

I usually root a bit for Holland, because it?s a type of football I enjoy, but they?re not showing much at the moment.

As for the Czech Rep., they?re going from #1 outsiders to one of the favourites to win this.

#202231Post 73 of 387

outsiders? weren't they n1 in the qualified group?

#202241Post 74 of 387
outsiders? weren't they n1 in the qualified group?
What I mean is that they are outsiders because they are not one of those teams that are traditionally favourites : France, Italy, Germany, Holland, etc.

But they were unbeaten in the qualifying stages, yes.

Sorry Sander ... but Czechs v Netherland was an amazing game of football -end to end stuff, non-stop chances/incidents and one of the great come-backs of all time.

Well done to the Liverpool lads - Baros was out of this world and has scored the best goal of the tournament so far.

... pity we can't sign Nedved - but rumour is that Rosicky may be on his way (we'll buy him a few beers at Cream when he arrives).

#202268Post 76 of 387

that was a serious game of football tonight.

the czechs were outstanding going forward. quite hard to believe its the same smicer and baros who play for liverpool.

#202304Post 77 of 387

I've been seeing the Euro every day and I will have to say that Sweden is one of the candidates to Champion, they had a very nice game and excellent players as well.
