do you feel like they work? im on a kick of powerade, yet im not sure why...i dont feel all vitamined up. i hate gatorade.

#420170Post 2 of 37

Re: sports drinks

if i want a buzz i do a line ... otherwise coffee and cigs do it for me.

gatorade does refresh my mouth though. esp after a tuff one.

Re: sports drinks

i think a good boffing before work is plenty of energy for the day. i am not one who drinks energizer juice.

#420176Post 4 of 37

Re: sports drinks

i drink it all the time. powerade over gatorade because it is cheaper. even when i don't work out, if i drink powerade, i still feel like i got a good workout, somehow.

point being: kids, drink sports drinks to stay in shape!

#420177Post 5 of 37

Re: sports drinks

i dont drink it for the 'energizing' effect. i hate that feeling, i wont even drink redbull itmakes me sick. i thought it was cool it had a bunch of vitamins, i dont take pills so i always try weird things that taste good for the vitamin effect.

#420179Post 6 of 37

Re: sports drinks

^ sports drinks and energy drinks are two different things. i also don't think gatorade has much as far as vitamins, it jsut has a lot of stuff to keep your body hydrated.

why is taking a multi-vitamin so hard again???? :P

#420180Post 7 of 37

Re: sports drinks

i know this but they were mentioningt he eberzing effect!

my powerade bottle says 'with 8 vitamins!'

Re: sports drinks

Looks like not many people use Sport drinks for sports anyways

Nothing like water for training/playing... and a good couple of beers after a game :). Milk is the first thing I drink after workouts and training.

Re: sports drinks

I love gatorade.I have at least 2 a day.either lemon/lime or Lemonade.I hate that powerade shit..its a rip off of gatorade imo.

#420338Post 18 of 37

Re: sports drinks

I drink Powerade. Although I usually dump about 1/2 of it out and fill it back up with water. Nothing beats flavored water. Also Powerade typically only has about 6g of sugar, whereas Gatorade has 14g.

#420339Post 19 of 37

Re: sports drinks

I'm all about Gatorade. If I go to a gas station for a drink, seems like I crave Gatorade every time. Powerade just doesn't feel the same... not sure why. Too much of a watery taste? Maybe the high school vending machine got me tired of it :not me:

Re: sports drinks

All sports drink are flavored sweat. Just something to keep in mind the next time you grab a gatorade or a powerade.

#420597Post 28 of 37

Re: sports drinks

I'll only drink a sports drink if I'm outside doing something active on a really hot day (like mountain biking or walking 18 holes of golf in July). Otherwise I just drink water, even when I'm at the gym (I usually drink 2 liters of h20 in during the course of a workout)

Otherwise I take a multi vitamin (Centrum 1 a day) and 500mg of vit C every morning with a little shot of OJ.

Diet wise I'm trying to focus on complex carbs rather than simple, and try to avoid processed food-- the fewer and more natural the ingrediants the better.

Mind over man, mind over matter. :)

Fuck all that "sports drink" bullshit. I'll bet some of you have tried that Propel "fitness water" too huh??? Nah, just kidding. I'll drink a Gatorage every once and while. Powerade just seems like a cheap imitation to me. But when it comes down to it, water is what I reach for 9.999999 times out of 10.

Powerade seems to be all High Fructose Corn Syrup. It's too Kool-Aid to me. I enjoy Gatorade
