Our high school team was composed primarily of Brazilian students that our school had some kind of program for. Anyway, we dominated in soccer because they were all badasses. :)

really loved watching the game today Mexico vs Netherlands .... which poses the question, are games this interesting to watch during the regular season? I guess that's impossible, since with any sport - once you get to the "playoffs" everyone plays there best, because the stakes are so high. At any rate, I have a new respect for the game, and like many Americans, have really enjoyed the WC for the first time, thoroughly.

It's the one tournament that any soccer player dreams of playing because the whole world is watching you, and of course if do you a good world cup with a memorable performance your country will boost your name up to a national hero status, You basically become a celebrity in your country for many years to come.

Regular season games could get really exciting, however the real good ones are the knock out stages of the Champions league but those are between clubs like Barcelona, Liverpool, Bayern Munich etc.

I hope argentina gets it this time they keep improving their team performance by the game.

USA vs Belgium is a hard match nobody talks about how good the Belgium squad played in their group and think its an accessible opponent but the reality is that they are a very tough opponent. I think it will end in a draw and then USA will win by penalty kicks.

You should notice the fans will be much more active compared to other major league sports.

No shoout outs in regular season games except for play offs and US Open Cup.

It's almost emotional to see someone pour so much of their talent into defense only to lose a game based on offense, by 1 goal. I'm not sure if I am brave enough to be a true fan of soccer (football). It just seems like too much of a heart-breaking sport to be a fan of. :lol:

i think MLS gave him a licence to have an expansion team outside of NY area tied into his contract when he was at LA Galaxy.

so yeah I think he is the owner, or main investor at very least.
