Discuss your national teams glories & misfortunes on their way to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil

#1663777Post 2 of 67

Re: Road to Brazil 2014

AUS are rubbish and don't deserve to be there.

Pros: Less Socceroos "fans"

Cons: All these rugby league and afl converts will lose interest in the sport because we arent good anymore (we've never been good), popularity of football will drop, with decreased funding and the A-League will collapse and we will be without a national league for the second time in a decade.

You'd be surprised how many people thought we were robbed in 2006...Italy had a man sent off half an hour in and still dominated..yeah Fabio Grosso went down a bit easy, why the fuck did Lucas Neill try a ridiculous slide tackle though?

Australia going nowhere fast.

Croatia still econd despite win against Serbia...

Montenegro ahead of England...haha fucking hell....you know your players are lazy when Montenegro is doing better than you.

Bosnia doing well too..

Re: Road to Brazil 2014

Watched first 70 of Argentina vs Colombia. Pretty crazy first half.

Australia beat Jordan 4-0...Jordan was losing 2-0 had an attacking corner and within two passes the ball was back to their keeper...never seen that before.

Was Croatia that rubbish and Scotland that good?

Czech Republic vs Italy, Czech Rep. had some good late chances...I only saw a bit of that.

Armenia trounced Denmark 4-0 away???

Re: Road to Brazil 2014

Laboured win for Australia over a resilient Iraq who were playing for nothing other than pride with their captain or best player.

Now to go to brazil and hopefully get a draw and a couple of narrow loses.

I am obliged to support them, my national football team. Also cant stand watching football in a room full of Australian "supporters"..or any sport actually.

In every other sport I support the opposing team.

About time. They really have a good team for this year's tournament. I think they can probably be the best Colombian team in world cups the country has had (maybe not at legendary as Valderrama's '94 team though, but as good yes)

They did Argentina 5-0 in Argentina in qualifiers no?

Was a complete disaster for them on and off the pitch in 1994. Pele said they'd go on to win it.

RIP Andreas Escobar
