Really loving this set, trying to figure out the complete TL. #13. DJ JDM - Subversal, that actually comes before Let Me Take You. Anyone have any more ideas about this set? Would love to have the full thing.
If you're IDing the track based on John Digweed's Sydney GU, according to Discogs there a was a f-up on the tracklisting and the track he actually played was DJ JVM & Georgio - Velvet Vision and not DJ JDM & Georgio - Subversal

This is the direct quote under the Notes section from the US release version CD2-03: The track is listed as "Subversal," by DJ JDM & Georgio. The artist is DJ JVM & Georgio and the name of the track is "Velvet Vision."

So is track 13 now wrong ?

#1378895Post 45 of 73

Re: Sasha - Live @ Club Logic, Los Angeles (12-21-1997)

yes track 13 is wrong.....track no10 is indeed DJ JVM & Georgio....about the actual title i also notice that discogs mentioned it only in the US version of GU Sydney but i'm sure that it's Subversal because i have the original vinyl from 90 Watts label....think that this confussion happened because in promo copies the titles were mislabeled...

Re: Sasha - Live @ Club Logic, Los Angeles (12-21-1997)

Fuck Me there's qiute a few mistakes on that CD
Tracklisting as given on packaging has some mistakes: 1-02: The song is credited as "Wonky" by Head Effect. 1-12: The song is credited as "Psycho Samba". 2-02: Artist given as "Sound of Sim". 2-03: The song is credited as "Subversal". 2-06: Artist given as "Pako & Frederik".

Re: Sasha - Live @ Club Logic, Los Angeles (12-21-1997)

another mistake on this Cd....Ylem's - Out of It is in fact the Kaleidoscope track from Other Worlds Ep on Tonkin....we should start a thread about faulty tracks on other compilations:)

Re: Sasha - Live @ Club Logic, Los Angeles (12-21-1997)

I have the vinyl of Velvet Vision/Subversal too, I just haven't listened to it in a while. Sorry if I messed that up, I was indeed going off the Sydney ID. Another two mess-up's on that: The song by Mortal is actually Mortal - Test Drive (Autobahnana) [I have the album that the track is from, the promo vinyls that a few DJs got their hands on were misprinted to only say Autobahnana] and it doesn't say it but Keep Hope Alive is really the Andy Ling Dub. I didn't know the Ylem track was wrong, too, so cheers for that. I still need to get my hands on that EP sometime, really like the Ylem stuff I've heard. This has to be one of my favorite Sasha sets. Wish I had more ideas about the tracks :(

Here's a YouTube link to Subversal or is it Velvet Vision? I'm thinking Velvet Vision as the video looks likes it's taken off the Sydney GU which we now know was incorrectly listed as Subversal. If you could fish your vinyl out problem would be solved..

There are at least 4 mistakes on Digweed's Hong Kong, 3 on LA and a track on Northern Exposure #1 that is not even listed on the notes.

There's even one on Sasha's San Francisco GU... 1/07 incorrectly listed as Slickmick - Lecture, should be Slick Mick - Spectral Analysis. It's the acetate's fault

Re: Sasha - Live @ Club Logic, Los Angeles (12-21-1997)

^^ its GU... dont u remember that they were all doped up and drunk the first 10 years at GU... mistakes are to be expected.

#1379108Post 54 of 73

Re: Sasha - Live @ Club Logic, Los Angeles (12-21-1997)

another example is Dave Seaman's Renaissance London mix....the third track is not Bulkhead - Easy Rider Blues...i ordered the record after 2 months just to discovered that it's completely wrong.....it took me 3 years to tracked the correct tuned which was Scan Carriers - Datum [Bellboy Rec]

Woa, what was the track on NE1 that wasn't listed? I always felt that Diggers' mixes had more mistakes on them than any other. Sasha's usually only had one or two, while Digweed's were just full of mistakes.

You would think they would get the correct tittles when the approach the artists or their managment company for the rights.

Re: Sasha - Live @ Club Logic, Los Angeles (12-21-1997)

I'm starting to think that on Sydney track 1-12 IS Psycho Samba. It's definitely not Magical Digital Drum (which Discogs says is the correct name). I just realized the other day that Stark Raving Mad has a song that's not indexed or listed anywhere at all.

The more I listen to this set the more I think the set list is completely screwed up.
