By now we've all wanted this at one time or another. I'm now formally asking admin to authorize & create a Promo Sub-Forum Thread for DJ Sasha - a.k.a. Alexander Coe. And prove my resolve I've posted a bunch of posts in Sasha thread to show the overwhelming amount to now choose from right here on MS. I hope that I dont piss off to many members/mods, but I think my resolve isn't going to waiver. That said many of the threads & sets in question are the top of the MS & MU boards, and there has to be someone in MS Adminastration that agrees!

Yes..the guy deserves his own thread..his sets pop up so often and the guys been playing since the late 80's...the guy has a million live sets..I think his own sub forum would be beneficial so people won't requesting sets when they can find it in a serperate section....Sounds good to me!!!

There probably aren't as many dedicated new Sasha only sets popping up (as opposed to Diggers, Cattaneo and S & D). However I keep seeing olders sets of his, that have been posted here at MS or elsewhere in the past that keep making a re-appearance. There seems to be a strong attraction for fans to get alot of his older work especially for those who have just gotten in to him recently or the past 5 years. If you also factor in the amout of stuff sitting on old casettes waiting to be ripped, Sasha definitely deserves a dedicated sub-forum. He has had such a long career in this game (almost 20 years) that it would be a pity if his stuff got drowned in a sea of his newer peers' sets. A first task of such a prospective sub-forum would also be to tabulate in a definitive form what material of his (sets I mean) is out there, put it in chronological order and have it on the Archives like all the Diggers, Cattaneo and Martin Garcia stuff.

Well we have a digweed subforum, so why not. And while we're at it, we can make subforms for frisy sets, proton sets, metrodance sets, annie nightingale sets, essentlai mixes ...

And we'll all subscribe to each and every subform 'cos otherwise we'll miss out on something good if it doesn't show up in ... the promos & recommendations forum.

Why such a fuzz about a f**kin thread??? How much time does it take to make it and move Sasha's posts there? 1 - 2 hours...

It would mean a lot so why not do it. There are not many new Sasha's sets now cause he is in a studio but wait till he comes out!!!

Rubyraks already brought it into discussion but so far nothing was decided because whatever we change in the P+R forum, we know that we will please some and piss off others because there is not "the one" solution for this (luxury) problem. For each pro there is a contra and vice versa. Maybe we leave everything as it is, maybe we make a Sasha subforum, maybe we make a more drastic change..everything is possible so please keep posting your thoughts so we know better what you would prefer.

Props to the admins for creating the Sasha sub-forum.

Now we need a sasha section on the archives (J.D, Hernan and Martin G.).

To the admins: Do you need any assistance with doing this ? Monetarily speaking????

We can't even afford to open the archives to everybody which is our main intention and we hope to get to this point in a not too far Future but at the moment there is no way to make the archives even larger than they are already now. Please keep in mind that they grow by 320 MB for sure each week because of the Digweed and Cattaneo mixes we are offering and that's not including Garcia's (his show from today is available already btw) mixes. Having 250 GB of music online 24/7/365 is more in the range of a music store instead of a non commercial and free website. Donations are always welcome but server costs have to be paid monthly whether we get financial help or not so that's something we can't rely on and all the work that comes with hosting such huge archives would be ruined if we had to stop.

To bad that the amount of sets werent there to support the wild notion of a Sub-Forum!(Sarcasm)

Though i wasnt the first to suggest such an auspicious idea, the idea stands Firm. With the recent addition of the presorted thread section for track id-ing, set requests, and notification of new sets to obtained/recorded, we now see a larger pie piece. Which helps in all things ID. I bring this up now after 5 years of MS's successful scrutineering of the real and fake resources received in this section and in others. Also, i realize that the next better thing is soon to arise, and am glad to welcome such future-ized forums. Just reminding all that small steps such as this Sub-Forum IDEA, had come with huge skepticisms and doubts.

Thanks MS for listening, and making changes that werent backed by popular vote.

p.s. Ive crossed the 100GB level for all things confirmed to be Sasha. Bring on the next 100!
