Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995
I'm going back to down to FL this weekend and I'll dig through my box of old tapes. I know I have some old Fortier tapes from 95' that are wicked.
I don't know how the quality of the Maxell XL II's will hold up though...
Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995
ahhh...i am so happy i dont have to deal with cassettes anymore. singlehandedly the worst music format ever imo

Mmmmmm, old school fortier is always naaaahce! I still say his 2hr kiss100 mix is probably one of his best! I'm still in love with that R-trybe track!
Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995
yeahh pleasee rip that! would love to hear a 95 fortier set!
Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995

I also have a few where he is playing Old Skool. Also have a few old AAHZ tapes too (though they are really nasty quality). I was going to give the Chris F. tapes to Jibgolly but I never made it out there. I am going to rip mine as well one of these days... I just need to find the time.
Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995
What Barbarella mixes do you have? Those were some good times back then. Do you by chance know whether there have been any mixes done at the Edge that are floating around? They did quit a few gigs before closing down but I've never heard of a recording done. All the clubs back in Orlando during the AAHZ era were pretty good, miss those days.
Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995
I don't have any from The Edge, but I do have some from Brassy's and the Colisseum, I also have one from MARZ (Cocoa Beach), as for Barbarella's I'll need to look. But I do know one of them was titled "The Lift". Chris is playing "Give Me A Smile", it's been a while since I played it, so I can't recall exactly what is on it, but the date is 1-11-94. I used to love going to The Abyss, such a small but wicked club! Would love to have some sets from that time period... I also could talk to Andy Hughes and see if he has any from The Edge, which he just might.
Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995
remember UV (ultra violet)? and what was that club called at Daytona Beach in that Hotel? I remember RITM there for NYE back in '97:shock: seriously insane times!

I'm going to try and start ripping them by next weekend, so maybe I'll have something for you jibs.
Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995
its funny to think people still own cassette players. the only one i have access to is on one of those old shitty stereo's, but i was able to rip some old sasha tape with it a few years ago.
wish i could look at your tapes, there's one fortier mix i would kill to own again. oct 97/98 somewhere around there. was an autumn set (i think) with an orange cover?!>.... :NotMe:
Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995
i'll see about listing them with dates if I can. Some of them didn't have a year specified...
Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995
individual pictures of your entire collection would be sweller. ;) :p
i would probably recognize the cover if i saw it, but remembering the exact month of release is a bit much.

[SIZE=1]CLUB 600 NORTH
PLANET OF THE DRUMS ARENA
BREAKS & HOUSE ARENA
BREAKS ARENA
Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995
That's weird...My brother played that night and he is not on that list! True it was 600 North...701 same thing. It's been so long.

Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995
word, uv was the bomb when it was on aloma, what about cloud nine on friday nights at the old jj's?
i got some old huda hudia tapes, along with some old brad smith tapes, and some other tapes with local guys, but slamming jams from those days.
anyone got that old scott hardkiss yes mix?
i got some old r-fresh as well.......lol
Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995
Ok, yes I played at that party(600 North) and am not listed there. I'll have to see if I have the line up sheet somewhere to clarify. Anyways I'm not sure if you guys love or hate him but I have Kimball Collins all request birthday tapes(3 pt set) from Firestone with classics galore. So if anyone is interested let me know. I also have some of Chris's tapes as well and can go thru and look for specific promo months. Other tapes: Dave Cannalte's Revolver done at Maniquinns @Downtown Disney, DJ Sandy at the Triad, and I think i still have a Boyd Westerman promo tape back when he was a fixture at Simon's in Gainesville.
Let me know if there is any interest and I'll see what I can do. Billy Z
Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995
i've been tryin to get a recording from cannalte for about 6 years. will gladly take that one if you have the time.
Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995
Its a kick @SS set, I'll see what I can do
Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995
I too have the "Revolver" set, and I also have the "Euphony @ Renaissance (David Cannalte 5:00 AM Live Deckheads)" set as well. Bill didn't we get those at the Drop Shop that one time when he was selling all of those records?
Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995
Here are some of them that I dug out. I have more in some other boxes, I just need to find them. [img]http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/imagehosting/4550461949e57bbbe.jpg[/img]
Re: [Request] Sasha live @ firestone halloween 1995
I would absolutely LOVE a copy of Kimball Collins all request birthday tapes(3 pt set) from Firestone! I went to a birthday party of his at Firestone, I just don't remember what year it was (was it 95?) Thanks! Rick

The party was sometime around there, Just Wicked stuff!
I guess I'll have to sift through the tapes and get ripping!
and yes(funky) the tape we got from the the drop shop or vinyl frontier was the "EROS EUPHONY" by Jim Van M though not Dave's unless you got one I didn't. I'll see about posting a picture of some of my tapes.

Well, I dug through my old school cassette case (how lame is that) and couldn't find that fuckn tape...which means it's in a cardboard box stuck somewhere in the closet. I did find some other gems though...
Fortier tapes from 97, Best of Remark 91.5 FM double cd pack, Andy Ling Mix Tape, United DJ's of America - Kimball Collins (no. 3?) just to name a few
