This is actually the first Sasha set tha I listen from start to finish in like 2 years. Didn't like any of his previous recordings, and the first hald of this sounds like some of them, as someone said before, no inspiration at all. But the second half is surprisingly good, I think I might have to put this on my mp3 only for that.

Also, he played at Stereo 2 weeks ago and my friends said it was his best set at ((( )))so far. He finished playing at 10:30am apparently

I think it's interesting to judge a live set outside of the context and environment in which it was created in. It's one long old moment basically one its already happened. It's kind of like watching theater on TV. The medium wasn't meant for TV it was meant to be experienced in that moment in that theater. The way I see it, some live theater might have a chance at being appreciated after the fact viewed on TV, but if it doesn't, that does not mean it wasn't enjoyable to the audience. Same with live concerts. Some of them can be appreciated whilst viewing the recording on TV or a laptop. While others are not going to be good after the fact. But when you watch the crowd in that recording they were going nuts, in that moment in that environment. Having said all of that, it is pretty incredible when a live set does sound amazing years and years after it was done. I wonder which DJ has the most live sets that still sound good today? I think I'll start a thread about that :lol:.

Regardless, this set did not translate into an interesting listening experience after the fact :lol:

No download so no high quality file that people can cut and have for free (debatable).

Whenever Sasha puts up a new set he never enables the download straightaway, usually does it a few weeks after the sets been up

yah - there was a lot going on in my post, but mostly I was just saying that live sets are interesting to judge when you are sitting at home and weren't actually there. It could have been great at the club, but shit listened to at home.

It was a very solid set…don't blame the guy for putting it out there. At least he takes chances and doesn't play all his own records like all those cheese balls on XM. Keep on keepin' on!!!!

It's called a 3 hour set. You want non-stop "Peaktime" music in sets go listen to DJ Tiesto.

Lots of people that listen on headphones or in their cars and complain "it's not peak enough" fail to realize how much bigger tracks like these sound like on a club system. Avalon does have a good one IMO.

Yeah, why people who have been fans of Sasha's for more than two decades now cannot comment on his current music? He's a millionaire, he's done and seen everything twice or thrice, from the Hacienda to the cozy and a bit boring Ibiza residencies of present days. Is it a cult?

They can comment all they want on what he's playing nowadays, but i find it laughable that fans still expect Sasha to be playing progressive house/trance.

Don't have that problem in my car. Installed compression horns under the dash, and IB subs in back. Sounds better than most clubs. 8)

Yes, Avalon does have great sound. I think they might have recently upgraded to the new Pure Groove systems equipment. :Respect:
