Happy Holidays!
Well what a year it has been, we have spent the majority of it cocooned in our studio, writing, producing and mixing the new Trafik album and it is finally done!
We delivered the final masters to Global Underground only a few days ago and they are getting it ready for release; very proud of this and easily our best work to date. Cinematic, epic, danceable and with lots of cool vocals, we are looking forward to this coming out.
The first single will be the big breaks/indie/electronic/rave future anthem that is Paid Up In Full –this is the first single we have done a music video for and is out early next year.
Apart from that, 2009 saw the inception of our Star Gazing DJ mix series, putting together the eclectic, the rocking, the chilled, the thrilled and the best for your listening pleasure, definitely a labour of love which thankfully received thousands of plays, downloads and listens - look out for SG8 in early 2010. Trafik also took to the road again, with some DJ gigs, Soundsystem shows and some great live gigs; meaning of course that we have eventually started rehearsing our full live five band -including the amazing Billy Hudson on drums, the fantastic Mike Porter on keys and the young pretender, Tim Mcvicar on the bass; expect to hear a lot more from the band next year.
As a gift this year we have put together a very special classics mix - featuring music from Sasha, Shades Of Rhythm, Frankie Knuckles, Beloved, Orbital, Leftfield and many more old favourites to warm even the coldest of festive evening.
