Same here, exactly the type of sound i like to hear zabiela play.
Re: James Zabiela - Mix of Appreciation
Have seen very few DJ's takeover a crowd like JZ, interacts the entire time, Ableton, CDJ's, imagine his own edits, efx, last time I saw him at a club that is somewhat dance music oriented and by the end of night he had what to me seemed like people who might casually appreciate dance music, going bezerk, thankfully he is back in US during Nov. for a few more dates.

WOW, This is so absolutist. Every time I found this kind of statements like if whom ever has told this own the only and absolute truth about oner single theme. I remember my times, many years ago, when I listened progressive rock and many of those who listen to (even me) use look at any other genres and people with a superiority and a moral strength as if someone has revelealed them/us something that anyone else know. And thats is a fact, and that is may called moronic behavior and intollerancy. If you don't like what they do, don't listen anymore, but don't speak with that superiority that came from nowhere. Sooner or later they played something you like, and what? are you moving like a chicken without head and memory? Thats is so lame beahvior from which I think all of us must move away.
Re: James Zabiela - Mix of Appreciation
im dj since 10 years, i have my own style and i dont follow any hypes :)
So i could think, you have never heard (right now) better music, when you say: thats good stuff :) Good night and dream on :o:

Personally I think Sasha is playing some of his best stuff for ages, also reading reviews from his gigs cements this fact.It is extremly hard to judge how he played from that part of a set which was released, ie what stage of the the set he was into also you have to take into consideration the crowd and what the promoter wants.
Thats not to say one set is better than the other, it comes down to personal opinion.
Have to say its fantastic to have so many mixes flying around:p

I think is not a question about since when or what age we do or listen some music. I do not say what you are saying. If something is good stuff, for someone, that is what is really important. If you are DJ since 10 years old, good for you. Mozart play music for people since he has 7 years old and start to write music at 3 years old, and thats meaning absolutely nothing by itself. I don´t know what you listen to, and you don't know what I listen to, neither of us know the musical spectrum from what the other listen to, so any jusdgement about it really doesn't matter. Peace and Love woull have say some Woostocker, now that celebrates 40th anniversary of that concert. =)
BTW, if you're DJ since 10 years old, I pressume that you must have some sets you can share to judge your work. Its possible to have some of them to listen? Thanks in advance.
Re: James Zabiela - Mix of Appreciation
Jm and Evil, your writing would give an english prof. an anuerism, thanks for the posts, very enjoyable. (don't think i'm getting all hoity-toity, i ONLY speak english, so while i am amused, you both have a better linguistic education). by the way, it's not what you listen to, but what you get out of it.
Re: James Zabiela - Mix of Appreciation
thanks 4 the post.
will be interesting to check it out after the comments.
