cheers fellas - enjoy and have a good weekend

Gotta say, this was a bit of a nightmare - tracks skipping on me mainly. Not so much a proper skip as a slight drag which is hardly noticable but when mixing it's enough to trip you up so i had quite a few frantic moments, changing discs/tracks at the last minute and that kind of thing. Even re-burned a cd while i was playing but that did the same to me only on a different track. The eqs packed up on the mixer as well to the point where even touching one of them fucked up the levels on the output. Changed channels halfway through as well :Nerves: So after downloading what imo is a great set of tunes, when it came to actually putting it all together it wasn't the fun it should have been (hence title) but hey ho that's how it goes sometimes eh? so what may sound to you like a below par mix, to me sounds like a fuckin triumph all things considered -

Re: A Nasty Piece Of Work

sounds a bit like Frank Spencer in the mix to me!

I wouldn't be surprised if if the bath over flowed and came through the ceiling on me while I was listening to this.

Spectacular!

HUGELY enjoyed this one, probably one of the best I've heard from you!

Starts out with a jolt and never looses a bit of energy.

Re: A Nasty Piece Of Work

Boob juice :p

I'm gonna be honest with you this is not the type of music I usually listen to. But man how refreshing it is to hear not your usual type of music and feel that sometimes is good , like this case, I felt like none of the tracks are commercial shit or cheezzy swooshy music which I hate by the way.

The start was so vivid As the first minutes went by I was looking forward for a disco dance 90ish mix but with and updated sound and a prog groove but then after minute 15 you took the mix a whole different direction , the mixing was flawless and so was the programming , maybe the eqing on some tracks were a bit to high like the bass muffled a couple times on my stereo.

but overall it was awesome man ,

I got a request can you please tell me the name of the first 2 tracks and also the track on 1h: 26mn :05 sec i was listening to that on the plane and it got me some goose bumps man , what a tune:twisted: bro.

Like I said before I'm glad for such find

Defo on the task to check out new mixes from ya !

Peace 8)

Re: A Nasty Piece Of Work

Achtung! and Turkish you're both welcome - hope you like it..

Haziel, you're very kind. First of all thanks for giving it a listen, seems other people like the mix more than i did? The reason the eq ing is none too clever is the eqs on my mixer are no more - the bass have never worked since i bought it (second hand) which explains why your speakers felt it a bit at times - i made do with eq'ing out with the mids but they've gone as well so it seems i'm well and truly back to basics now.. A new mixer is long overdue but i've twisted my knee to the point where i can't walk so been off work for 3 weeks now and coming under some financial pressure i gotta say..:(

It's my birthday soon if anyone's feeling generous?

the first 2 tracks are: Palm Skin Productions - Fall Away Andre Lodemann - Where are you now

the one at 1.26.05 is Exoplanet - Land of the talking la

cheers ;)
