No it was recorded for a Scottish Radio station. This one is just under 3 hours and starts with Red Sign - Wonderland, His EM was recorded October and starts with Blacklight - Daydream. Many of the tracks on it appear on his other EM's though. Its a shame they didn't play the whole 3 hours, he was finishing his sets with Atlantis - See You In the Next Life which sounded fucking brilliant on their sound system

That track goes straight into Wonky vs. Radiohead

The Jazzy M track has a robotic vocal that goes "The Way You Know" Track 2 Appears on 3 Oakenfold Essentail Mixes from that year and the Essential Millennium CD and is defiantly Velvet - SummerTime

WOW are there some rough mixes in this set. I guess Oakey wasn't his usual self on this night.

That being said, I really enjoyed this mix. Bombs o' plenty were dropped on the Home crowd on this night! RAVE HORN 8)

thanks a lot, ddr. been listening to a lot of late 90's early 00 oakenfold before going out on a saturday night the past few weeks and the tunes he spins, especially compared to todays sets are pretty incredible. so much variation!

The late 90's was a great era for oakey. I used to love, And still now, some of his eclectic sets like Gu oslo, and some others sets like the essential mix " A rare treat" in 1997 that it was amazing. mixing ambient, breaks and drum and base. I really enjoy that.

Have to check out his 'A Rare Treat' Essential Mix from 10-19-1997 as well.. listened to that last week, sublime stuff. That mix a long with his @ Space, Ibiza 1999 Mix as part of his Emix World Tour are the best Oakey mixes I have ever heard. His two GU contributions are pretty well done to.. apart from the mixing but that is classic Oakey ;)
