Hi fellas, i came across with a set from Dexter the other day here. And I asked myself why he hasnt been posted here yet, so i asked for his permision that start a thread with some of his recorded sets, which in my opinion are FANTASTIC, he really has that EXTRASOMETHING. so "ill let the music do the talking" (I heard that one from JHON DIGWEED).

I understand that you may want to make a megathread with Dexter Curtin but taking the sets from another site and posting them here and keeping the siteid is not the way to do it. If you want to re-upload them all then maybe you would have a chance at a megathread.

i try the leipzig shit of this year and prob its the bitrate but definetly i couldnt make it the whole hour its just like any other set of any other common dj, dont get mad but five stars is just for legends like sasha & digweed, cattaneo, deep dish, nick warren theres only two young djs that decerve the 5 stars imo and those are zabiela and holden, fairmont its also good, so i sustained what i said this is like any other common dj no fantastic not great is fine for a local club i wont pay to hear this... thats it if i'm willing to pay for a dj not mentioned above then deserve only for me between 3 and 4 stars depending of the set thast it i'm exigent imo if you rate this as a 5 stars then the one getting warmed up is you my firend whit all respect.... dont mess whit the legends and dont compare newbies whit the big shit ok???

by the way that i dont expend my whole life on this server doesn't mean that i dont know about music imo so i recomend you to get a life out there... instead of your gold gabber in here... no offense imo but you where very agressive whit my critic and you take it personal, is this dj your frien your brother or what or probably it's you it self trying to get some feedback well i speak the truth this not a 5 stars and for me its no more than 2 as i voted....

what's wrong? alex only started a thread of a DJ he likes very much. or are megethreads only for big names like sasha, digweed and so on? maybe, for you gusto, he goes over the top with his description of Dexter but i can't read any sentence comparing Dexter Curtin with John Digweed or anything else. Alex only says that in his opinion Dexter Curtin has this kind of extrasomething - that's all. and if you don't like the sound of Dexter Curtin it is ok - it is your own taste :) i have to say, that i like his sets - not every set, but most of them. i would say 3 to 4 stars.

thanx snari i guess some people only download sets from them big names (how boring not theres anything wrong about that) but theres a lot of new talent...So i think that everybpdy has a chance right...I guess i posted a lot of sets from dexter but SNARI do us a little favor and tell people in your ipinion which are the best sets of curtin so people give a chance mate!!

At the tender age of 15 years Dexter started to try out himself on the turntables. At that time still primarily Techno and a little House. He had his fi rst gigs - after many appearances in smaller private events - in the respectably Leipzig club named „Distillery“. Soon followed appearances in various Leipzig bars and smaller clubs and later on also at bigger events („Jazz in Fusion, House Arrest) in and around Leipzig as well as famous Clubs (Distillery, Lagerhof, Tangofabrik, Molen Dyk). In addition to DJing he did not let his activity as an organizer break off and organised with different crews middle and bigger events with artists like T.Raumschmiere, Supergeburt,Jan Solo (U60311), Innocent Lovers and DJ Schnicks (U60311, Quariat). Beside several Podcasts and mixingseries for UMP3 he was always a fi rm component of the Line-Ups of the UMP3-parties in the whole of Germany with Artists like Steve Gerrard, Gabriel Ananda, Richard Bartz, Mike Väth or Cio Dor. From September to December 2005 Dexter played nearly once a month in Aquatower Duisburg and brought there regularly the people to the melting point. After several appearances in some German cities a chain from unhappy residencys followed in different clubs in and around Leipzig. In summer 2006 he started to spin records regularly in the Beachlounge Leipzig and organised there some bigger projects and parties. Meanwhile he plays every month in the Leipzig Chillum and spoils his guests with his exquisite sounds. Since December 2007 he works with his production partner Timo Manson regularly in the studio on new sounds and own tracks. The fi rst offi cial release are the track „JACK“ and a Remix for Coarts on the label Infaces. One may be curious what still follows this.
