okay... what's up with lawler these days? i've heard absolutely nothing but horrible reviews as of late. his outing at cielo last weekend was also very disappointing. i know of at least 3 people who just flat out walked out of the place. why is he so hit or miss lately?

i'm going to give this a whirl and listen sober.

I've never seen a part 2 for this. I've looked everywhere to no avail. DC have you listened to his set from We Love Space I think it was 7-13-08? I thought it was a great set. I agree the last couple years he's hit or miss, thank god I have his older stuff. Still listen to it regularly.

I am enjoying this. I thought the first track was cheesy, forced. But thankfully it got better. Track at 37min is very nice. Didn't hear the We Love Space mix. I have it though. Will give it a listen.

The first track isn't Lawler. Lawler's first track is the collage of famous EDM samples. In less that's the track you are on about. Which i actually really like.

Oh yeah I've tracked part 2 down on soul seek. I will post it whenever i get it.

yes, that's the one... i felt like the collage could have been layered a bit better... you know, it's probably one of those things... sound GREAT when you're at the club hearing it live...

Listening to this now, it sounds fucking great. Steve really was on form in 2004. I don't know why but i never really linked the Lights Out series.

I love Lawler probaly top 3 fav DJ'S and I'll say this I never cared for any of his CD releases. They don't do him justice and even though his sets are hit or miss today, until 2006 his sets were fucking great. Thanks again for this Chunky

Listened to this today @work, great set good to have it complete. I always loved how Lawler would start dark and then build up with some vocal tracks towards the end. Some would say maybe some cheese thrown in but good house music I say. Thanks again Chunky.
