I've never really understood some of the reasons some of the DJ's come up with for not wanting their sets recorded. I imagine most of the artists would be really stoked to find out Sasha, Digweed, Tenaglia or anyone else played their track and to have a recording of it, that they could listen to as well. Are they really doing the artists a disservice by allowing it to be recorded?

It has to do with labels or artists requesting that their music not be aired on the net until it is properly released.

If you don't want it to be aired, Don't give it to anyone until you have released it properly . 99% of the tracks on these sets will never make labels anymore money anyway.

I'm not sure what their motivations are, seeing as I'm not a dj, producer, or label affiliate. My lack of understanding might have made me spout off something ignorant...
All I can say, is that I'm glad to have the chance to experience it. Those who got to experience it live, are lucky mofos.

It's bc they were setting up the system and Des & Behrouz tagging the first hour. Getting into the groooove! This set is def. on of the best sets I've listened to in a while.

Someone told me that he was listening to this set right now and wonders if the amount of trainwrecks was the reason for not wanting to get out.
He said some of the mixes were so bad he had to pause his media player to make sure that there wasn't other clashing music in the background. He's not used to this kind of performance from either of them and thinks they may have been inebriated in some fashion.

Well they were tagging a lot on this set so that is why there are some inconsistencies. At the end of the day they didn't want this set to be leaked for a reason. You have to take it for what it is and enjoy it. Lots of gems on this set and it is a beautiful set. Can't complain myself. I've been enjoying the set for over a week and it sounds great. Also you have to understand the setup at the birthday was very minimal. Two cd players and not much else. So it's not a set recorded in a club.

I think people are over-exaggerating on the "trainwrecks".. its not bad at all. The sound quality is worse if anything.
The track at about the 1:18 - 1:20!! wow, very verrrry Niiiice! :shock:

So many good tracks on there that will never see the light of day. I have a feeling there's track on there that sounds like a DT production.

have only listened to the first couple of hours but there are some great tracks as far as the mixing it is a little loose but checking in a +6hrs makes up for it.

I didn't think there were too many wrecks however i'm thinking that they were banged-up at this party considering they played out just hours before.

I totally agree. I can't notice the trainwrecks myself. But I guess there are some real anal people out there.

Ha. Agree. That's what I did with my set. You can tell where Behrouz and Desyn stop playing immediately. After the fourth hour is where the other guy comes in.
