Honestly, it wasn't until he started banging that way out deep sound found on the newest essential that I really stood up and took notice of Dubfire. The Deep Dish stuff was always great, but the Shinichi tracks he signed always had the right groove with overly simplistic builds. Right now he seems to be firing on all pistons (albiet at a very minimal tik) so I'm kinda curious to turn the clock back thirteen months and see what route he took to get here.

Again, Dubfire is not Deep Dish! Huge diference between, Deep Dish is poor.

I think the last GU releases probably turned a lot of people of either of them. Dubfire has apparently discovered something recently on the dancefloor and has been able to translate it into a nice string of rmxs and releases.

That's just ignorant. Deep Dish have had a massive influence on the House scene, the vast majority of which has been for the better. They've produced some quality tracks and mix-wise used to put out some great releases (eg. GU: Toronto, Yoshiesque, etc..)
