Wow, very cool share. I was in Orlando for many years and those tapes were always GOLD. Chris developed a huge following in part through those tapes. The legions could count on 90 minutes of disco glory on a monthly basis.

Lived in Oralando. Actually a combination of Maitland, Altamonte, Longwood, etc, etc. Funky Dredd, I noticed some Kimball tape covers in that picture. Although I havent heard of that guy for years, he used to have lots of good records. Ended up being somewhat of a disappointment compared to Jimmy, Chris, Sean, Tim.....Always interested to hear things from that time period. Thanks again for the share

Edgewater,,,,but we did a lot of clubbing back in the 90's, back when Orlando, Cocoa and Daytona were great places to go to listen to some great dj's with some great music.

Thanks again for the share[/quote] I'll be getting around to those, so keep your eyes peeled. Those were some tapes from the coliseum and also his birthday tapes. I have a couple of sets from the coliseum, but the second set I have is pretty distorted. I believe he got pissed because the set was being recorded, he lost a few points from me for that one. But the first set is wicked!

basically...we were at MARZ (where Chris was the resident dj) one night and it was like 4 am and the news was there doing a segment on raves, and my brother myself and our friend were the only three people on the dancefloor, we were on the news the next night with a statement like, do you know what your kids are doing....I just happened to be eating dinner with my parents when the clip came on...wooooops!

You talking about the birthday tapes from Firestone? There were 3 tapes from that night. It was a pretty good night.

Thanks for posting those.. been awhile since I've been on here. I had a few of those tapes but not all of them. I'll have to dig out my old tapes as well. Need to get a tape deck to rip to the computer. I have some Sasha's in Orlando, Digweed, Jimmy van M, etc.

Dredd, What all tapes do you have from 98? I am looking for one, not sure what month, but starts out with a great vocal track - very solid tape all the way through. There is another tape, again not sure which month that has Paris Red "Git Wit Me". This is also a very good tape. Chris used to find the best vocals.

Not sure if I want to go buy a tape deck from one of the local stores (if I can find one) or from this site, [url]http://www.plusdeck.com/[/url].

That thing looks pretty cool and will rip it fast to the computer. I have a ton of tapes in boxes and it would take forever to rip them with a regular tape deck.

A few years ago Chris posted about 15 CD's of his live sets directly to me - not sure why, he just mailed me one day asking if I wanted them (this was back when I used to contact dj's weekly to get their tracklists for the kiss show with Digweed).

They were all cracking discs - I ended up mailing them onto some guy on this very board (dunno who??)who was gonna put them up for upload.

Anyway, the moral of the story is that Fortier is a legend of a dj......
