[B]Two of [/B][B]Britain[/B][B]?s best young DJs have announced a new partnership for 2007 that will see them follow in the footsteps of superstar DJ duo Sasha & Digweed.[/B]

James Zabiela and Nic Fanciulli will launch their new partnership One+One at Miami?s Winter Music Conference, and will embark on a worldwide DJ tour that includes a gruelling leg around the USA on a tour bus.

Sasha and John Digweed infamously were the first DJs to take to the road like rock stars when they travelled around America for their Delta Heavy tour in 2002.

James and Nic will do the same, covering the length and breadth of the States in a bus, and will play back to back together at every gig, with up to five gigs planned per week.

Following the US, they will tour the UK, Asia, Australia and Europe.

"Even though Nic and I are relatively young DJs compared to most we've been touring heavily on our own for a few years now," said James.

"So when we did a quick tour of Australia and Asia last year we decided that it's much more fun to go with someone else!?

"I?ve always wanted more hands in the DJ Booth and now I have them, we'll be using the Q2 Dual DJ which will allow us to independently cue things as well as play with FX units, laptops and CDJs of course."

Nic and James have developed a special DJ bond Nic revealed that James and him have formed a special bond in the DJ booth.

He said: "We both started off with the same musical background and as time went on we developed our own styles.

"When we put them together it works well and we seem to compliment each other musically."

The pair plan to release a CD on Ministry of Sound records to showcase their One+One partnership, which will coincide with the world tour.

I think they'll be awesome together. Their set from the Pod was solid. It's just lame I think to compare them to Sasha and Digweed or say that they're trying to be the next Sasha and Digweed. When you're at the level of James and Nic, I don't think you're really trying to be like anyone anymore.

awsome. i really can't wait to hear them together. jz is one dj i have never heard live, but he is one of my all time favorites... i've heard fancuilli play and it was pretty sick. should be a good time!!!!!!

Sup, all, I'm new the the site, used to use this back in the early 21st century while at college, or should i say i used my friends account....i want to thank everyone for posting, i have now been able to waste several days at work and at home dl old and new sets...etc etc etc..........

Now on to the new collaboration.............Is it for good or evil? It could only be for good.....but it is evil bc between both of their styles, things are going to get pretty nasty.

In a way its the new Sasha and Digweed duo........Zabiela is in a sense Sasha's protege...and had luke fair really rose in the dj ranks over the past 4-5 years i could see it being fair and zabiela, but on to Nic........his style is very promising, and very different, I saw him last year at crobar with sander, and they both tore it down......it should be interesting though, bc, zabiela in my own opinion is a fan of trancey-breaks a la the new sasha though he can throw down prog house/prog trance on a whim..

I have yet to see Zabiela ( i have taken a break from going out but am looking forward to getting back into it)

Right now this is what the Scene Needs, we have seen Sasha and Digweed collab work wonders for the industry, along with Deep Dish, Tiesto and Corsten (gouryella anyone?) Creamer & K, gabriel and dresden (was a big fan before dave dresden said that 9/11 was fabricated by the gov't, i got into a fight with him on myspace and thru emails) and the like.......

So I say bring it on!!!!!! why not........i hope they do a live EM together...and I am looking forward too seeing/hearing them....check out youtube, they have some stuff up...and thanks to all who have posted sets, this is exactly what i needed!!!

hmmm listened to a set from them a few weeks ago... where JZ played first and Fanciulli second... the tunes, mixing was amazing... although I didnt like the combinations of their different styles. Thats my opinion of course... I find it interesting listening to both playing at the same time but dont know how great they can get.

I saw them at Pacha NYC a few months back here's the review I posted back then. Let?s get this outta the way?.Nic & James shredded Pacha!

I got there @ 12:00 to hear the warm up. I think it was Kos. However, knowing I?d never heard Nic live I didn?t want to miss his opening, so I took the 1st hour there to check out the NYC Locals in the basement. Awesome set, don?t know who the DJs were but Kudos! I included a picture of them in the album.

1AM time to hear Nic. First track was sick: Rossel & Monochrome- Juber. It was on their Essential mix last month. For the 1st hour Nic was killing it & the crowd seemed to be in synch with every kick drum and bass line. At one point he dropped some sinister conga drum driven track (ID?d later as Shlomi Aber- Freakside). WOW! He weaved in and out of house, techno and the splash of tribal beats.

Around 2, I was starting to wonder ?where?s James?? A few peeps in the crowd were talking aloud saying ?wait for the other guy?! Then a small roar came around as James made his way down the stairs into the DJ booth. After some chit chat in the booth with Nic and others, James setup his laptop and a few minutes later he stepped to the decks and what an intro it was! Nic had left off on a nice tribal tech track and James (using the EFX 100 and DJM mixer) twisted his way into a long techy glitchy intro & BAM dropped ?Solve It? by Dave Robertson. Insane is the only was to describe the crowd reaction. For the next hour James dropped one tech laden bomb after another. James had a very ?Sasha-esque? moment when he dropped Junior Boys- In the Morning (Hot Chip Remix). It was a wonderful moment on the dance-floor. Towards the end of the hour he slowed up a bit and played a few slower, Proggy Breaks Vocal tracks. But it was all to set up when Nic rejoined him in the booth.

3AM, One + One.
Amazing. They feed of each other seamlessly. Every track used was barely recognizable. The damage the two of them unleashed on the sound system was nothing short of total devastation. Around 4:30 some old favorites starting to be teased in. They dropped Underworld- Dark & Long, pieces of Koglin?s Enjoy the Silence. One of the best tunes they dropped was some violently twisted mix of Daft Punk ?Bigger Stonger Faster?. Sick!

When it was all over I was exhausted. What a fabulous time and if you haven?t seen these two play together?what are you waiting for??? I can?t wait for these guys to come back.
