Their original Essential Mix from 1998 is by far their best...one of the best mixes they have done. Deep, dubby, and soulful. Their last two E-mixes have been shockingly bad.

Deep Dish didn't do an Essential Mix in 2001. They where supposed to do one, then they pulled out on the Wednesday before it was due to be broadcast. Radio 1 then contacted King Unique, who then had 48 hours to record an Essential Mix. That Essential Mix is one of the best Essential Mixes ever. Better than anything Deep Dish could of done anyway
