Re: Classic Sander Kleinenberg Sets. MUST HAVES!

Does anyone else think that Fabric set is Fake or mislabeled? I can't ever remember Sander playing Fabric especially in 2002. I was going out week in week out in 2002 and I think I would of remembered Sander at Fabric. Sander did gigs a The Gallery back then and The Gallery was round the corner from Fabric. They've never really booked the Same DJ's

u sure about that? i was the one that recorded that set, the whole night in fact.

i was pretty sure that the 2 hours that i cut it down to were sander considering the track/set right after the last track on this was 100% cheesy trance, which im sure sander wouldnt play. also, he was set to play a 2 hour set at la rocca that night.

OK. All the tracks on this mix are from 2001 or before. In 2001/02 Sander was a regular at The Gallery Turnmills probably every 6 weeks so it’s unlikely he will be playing one street away from Turnmills. Sander is not the type of DJ that would be on a Saturday Fabric line up either. Neither would say Dave Seaman, Nick Warren, Danny Howells, Steve Lawler etc. I was out most weekends back then and I would of gone to this gig and if I didn’t I would still of remember it would of been different than the usual Fabric line ups. I'm pretty sure Fabric used to close the first 3 weeks in January to do any renovation, like many clubs. Had it stayed open it would have done the usual January night with residents parties with free entry to Fabric members. They certainly wouldn’t book a big name DJ. I’m not saying this set is not Sander, I’m saying its not from Fabric in London on Charterhouse Street. Maybe there is another Club somewhere else called Fabric and its from there. I will remove it then. I dont like sets that have controversy.

If someone really wants it, they can google for it.

Nobody maintains them and everybody just makes new threads for sets anyway. I agree with the "unpopular" chunky. lol

I think people tend to post opinons about individual sets in megathreads as much as they do in seperate threads. Everyone just says thanks and reup. I've never been much of a fan of the subforums much either TBH

hmm very good stuff can be found here. listened to most of these in the last days btw where is this Soma Club?

#1388575Post 80 of 113

Re: Classic Sander Kleinenberg Sets. MUST HAVES!
btw where is this Soma Club?
Boulder Colorado. There was some agro when this was released
Unfortunately, those were the only recordings we got (other than the ones we did of our own nights). We got in a bit of trouble over the Sander one, because we released it onto the net right away (with Sander's blessing), and people immediately started doing stupid shit like ebaying it. The club owners weren't particularly pleased about that, since we never asked them for approval. So we kept the other two recordings under wraps. It seems the Hybrid one leaked quite a while ago (based on when it was posted here)...so it's really all moot anyways.

Both of us still live in the area...Jason is near Boulder, I'm in Denver.
