FAO Anyone that downloads sets here!
If you listen to a set, please try to rate the set with the 'Rate this Thread' option above the first post of each page of the thread. This rating will be displayed on the forum index, and will help others determine if they should download the set.
Things to consider when rating a thread:
[]Don't rate a mix that you made. It's biased... let the community rate it. []Don't rate a mix that is of a genre you don't like. e.g, it may be a great techno mix but you gave it a bad rating because it's trance. []When rating, factor in mixing quality, track selection, and sound levels/sound quality. Nobody wants a set recorded at 56k with loud voiceovers. []Rate a set even if it has been rated. The more ratings that appear, the more accurate it'll be! []Remember that a 3 is still an "average" set...don't throw 4s or 5s around unless it deserves it! I'm guessing most sets posted will be average or just above it. We don't want to saturate the board with all 5 ratings, otherwise a 5 won't mean anything! []Don't be afraid to rate a set! It's anonymous (I think )
this forum already kicks ass thanks to everyone's hard work... now let's kick things up a notch by rating the sets!
Just as much as we hated our links being stolen from MS and posted on sites, we can understand other sites not wanting their links stolen either.
If you found a great set you want to share, and it's on another site, post the link for that site, NOT THE LINK TO THE SET.
Please respect the hard work that people put into their own sites.
If you have a promo set from someone that they've posted on GU or something, that's a different story...
Every topic where direct links are posted without the author making it clear that he´s authorized to post them will be just deleted without further comments and people who post two times direct links will be banned from the member set and recommendations forum which means they can no longer browse this section at all.
All i'm saying is, be respectful, give credit where credit is due.
Cheers.
