A few years ago, I helped Danny Howells digitize his wonderful collection of personal DJ sets and mixes spanning 30 years. In there, there are some amazing sets of all different genres and eras. I haven't uploaded any in quite some time, mainly because I have been lazy and focusing on other things, but today I thought that I would add this. It's a warm-up set from Bedrock in December 1999. I have labelled this as at Heaven, but it could have also been from the Beach in Brighton. Either way, it is a set that I have always come back to over the last 5 years. I haven't been in touch with Danny, for quite some time, so I hope that he doesn't mind.

Yeah, I don't think that Danny, will mind this. It's a great warm-up set and it doesn't go into smashing out fast trance anthems. I find it closer to his Choice cd vibe.

wow, thanks for this! i was thinking about danny the other day, i wonder if he's just laying low because of the pandemic or if he's focused on helping the animals these days and less on music

Strong chance I was at this gig (if it was indeed Heaven). Great memories, still amazed that it was £5 entry to see some of the greatest DJs of all time.

I've not seen him live in a long time or kept up, does he spin much these days? I still have my signed copy of 24:7 on my shelf when I went to see him at a signing before that tour way back when.
