From Simon's in Gainesville? I have a tape of his somewhere. I always assumed he was American.

i knew someone here had to :)

John - he's a close friend of a close friend of mine - and he's gonna be doin his thing in Tampa pretty soon, friday the 26th I believe. I'm def going. When my friend asked, she sent me his soundcloud, after listening for a few minutes I realized this guy was not just some local yocal and I googled him only to find out he's with bedrock and other labels, and has quite a history in the biz . anyway, looking fwd to meeting him and hanging out. anyone else who wants to join, let me know.

I've heard of 'em and seen him on some party lineups over the years...but not too familiar with his output.

Unless he has changed his name, these are two different people.

I'd definitely go if I was going to be in town! I've been spinning his tracks for ages (early 90's). He was in The Shaker which put out Mooncat (which I still have). It got played quite heavily in both Orlando and Daytona (I'm sure up in Simon's and down south as well). From what I remember both mixes were good. I'd have to dig it out and play them again but I favored one side over the other.

Re: Anyone ever heard of this dj before?

I really liked what I heard, I knew right away he was fairly legendary just by the mix my friend sent me.... he's actually in Orlando on the 26th not Tampa, I'm going and bringing my friend from London and Egypt, we'll have a little united nations party ... (especially since the egyptians wife is Danish)

thanks for the info J

Re: Anyone ever heard of this dj before?

He's a geezer (in the best sense) so should know how to churn out an enjoyable set.
