How could you forget? The sweat, the fat, the gore, the catchy beats… is it coming back to you yet? A few weeks ago in Paris, far from big venues and festivals, French electronic artist Vitalic offered a couple hundred lucky fans a luminous and very intimate preview of his European tour, scheduled to kick off in February.

I’ve always pictured DJs as sort of the invisible force behind the beats and drums associated with electronic music. No ego, no drama. They’re not exactly what you’d call stage animals, at least not in the sense of artists like P!nk, The Stones or I don’t know, Madonna. With electronic artists you can be sure of one thing: it’s all about the music. If anything, showing up with his own band and in such a small venue, Vitalic managed to make electronic music appear more human, more relatable and accessible.
