lol, sad that there was a compelling need to make a FAQ in the first place.

HOWEVER, the info about the unlink function is less common knowledge and particularly helpful. Good idea on highlighting its usage.

was me, I'm now doubly ashamed.
Re: [REMINDER]How To post the Soundcloud Waveform in the Forum properly.
Follow these steps:
- Copy and paste the Soundcloud link into the post, for example "http://soundcloud.com/trafikmusic/trafik-summer-sessions-vol-2",
- Switch Editor to Source Mode (the first button with A/[U]A[/U]) in the top left hand corner of the menu options,
- Format script using Advanced options, i.e. Wrap [soundcloud] tags around selected text (the url from step 1 only),
- Ensure script doesn't include unnecessary [url] tags (this will cause the soundcloud waveform to display incorrectly), like this...
[SOUNDCLOUD][URL]http://soundcloud.com/trafikmusic/trafik-summer-sessions-vol-2[/URL][/SOUNDCLOUD]
Instead remove the [url] tags in Source Mode. That's just straight url wrapped in [soundcloud] tags, with the 2nd tag having the forward slash i.e [/]
[SOUNDCLOUD]http://soundcloud.com/trafikmusic/trafik-summer-sessions-vol-2[/SOUNDCLOUD]
To diplay the waveform properly you have to change to Source Mode in order to remove the url tag formatting that causes links to display incorrectly. I hope this helps...

I'm guessing that they would rather have you go to their actual site, rather than serve as a broker.
Re: [REMINDER]How To post the Soundcloud Waveform in the Forum properly.
Maybe they cannot allow embedding for everyone anymore, just for the track's owner.
Re: [REMINDER]How To post the Soundcloud Waveform in the Forum properly.
[ms] admins should consider implementing the following phpBB Media Embed PlugIn so proper embed links to SoundCloud etc can be posted. [URL="https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/mediaembed/"] https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/mediaembed/[/URL]
Or at least give permission to members deserving of the privilige. I understand turning HTML code on for forum users is a potential security risk. It just sucks that it means we can't have embed links in posts because of this reason.
