^ the original stream from be@tv was at 128 FLV.. which I encoded to 128 mp3 using ffmpegX... not sure why mixfeed's are larger in size?

I can make them 1 GB each if you want :).

Re-encoded to a higher bitrate maybe (this is the stuff that rightly pisses off Bloodstream/Evil, btw, he just has difficulty expressing it without being offensive ;)).

What codec is the audio embedded in the FLV? m4a/aac/mp4?

Damn you, sneaky Sbandy, beating my post by 7 sex.

Well that Douchbag calls anything he uploads HQHQHQHQHQ barf He only gets annoyed because there truly are higher quality rips of stuff he "personally records" such as when an Essential Mix is recorded directly from FM or SAT sources. Something he still doesn't understand and gets his lil feelings hurt because of it. :Howdy:

But to answer your question... here is the analysis of the Wolf & Lamb FLV:

mp3 @ 128. I think all be@tv streams are at that bitrate.

and to be honest, it does kind of annoy me when people encode them to a higher bitrate when it isnt needed... the only reason being is that size really does matter if you are planning on putting them on your ipods or iphones etc...

Re: Mint Festival 2012 (Soul Clap, Wolf & Lamb, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones & Reboot)

Nice...so that can just be directly extracted from the flv, I presume? I am still wondering what Windows software can capture the audio FLVs streamed at B@.

Also, I think a secondary reason (and the main reason AFAIC) for not re-encoding in the first place is that it diminishes the quality further by applying a further level of compression to the already compressed audio. This is probably why he makes the HQ claims (which, while may be misleading, is actually the highest quality one can attain IF he is only extracting and not re-encoding the files). Unnecessarily taking up space is just as important to many. If you can just extract the audio without doing any further encoding, all the better.

The last time I was able to capture the stream at B@ (a few years ago), they were using mp4 audio (if memory serves).

I used ffmpegX to I guess re-encode them to mp3... but I did just search and yes you can just extract the mp3 from the FLV using iExtractMP3.

I can use this program on the FLV's in order to give the cleanest version and re-upload. Wouldn't take long..

Don't do it on my behalf, but that would definitely be the cleanest route to go in the future. :)

Re: Mint Festival 2012 (Soul Clap, Wolf & Lamb, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones & Reboot)

You don't listen to me, huh? Good ol' WM Recorder captures the streams (you can tell by the link) without much Apu. Otherwise, just Google "record stream Be@TV" or whatnot.

If you mean what codec the "stored file" is (to quote one of Evil's useful tips), me and ddrz looked and looked but we couldn't find any "direct link". So just grab it and fucking dump it, it's no Mozart.

Re: Mint Festival 2012 (Soul Clap, Wolf & Lamb, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones & Reboot)

I do not know what you're doing, but the 128k is the automatic encoding like Soundcloud does. The event is on demand with VBR152 kbits  goooooooooood morning pupils :p

@sbando: thanks for the abundance of deletions on others postings, feels now much better and fresher. MS RULES :youdork:

You truly drove me mad there and I'll keep cleaning my section.

The thing you don't get is: I DON'T GIVE A FUCK. You think I don't understand your "Scene" bullshit? I just don't care. I don't know why you come in here without posting any links and calling other people names. Try that at TA, I beg you.

Ok, but you must share with your friends, that's the point. If you go to the whorehouse do you want to find some ass or a guy babbling about it?

If you want to be a MEMBER of this forum, you will quit insulting people and quit babbling about shit sets you supposedly have recorded and instead HELP.. yes I said it... HELP out your fellow message board members by posting the damn links or assist them in other areas. But you dont... you dont give a shit about anyone here except your own HQHQHQ bullshit. You are a message board Troll, nothing more. That is why people insult you and dislike you so much... but you seem to enjoy pissing other people off for no good reason.

Sometimes I ask why I even try to educate your sorry Douchebag ass because it obviously hasnt worked yet and you still seem to Fail To Get or Realize the Point.

And here we are... another good set posting thread ruined by your Douchebaggery. MS is turning into Troll-Central and we have -0- Mods who will correct it and push forward what MS once was... discussion about the Music and love for the Music.

Re: Mint Festival 2012 (Soul Clap, Wolf & Lamb, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones & Reboot)

Good news on my end. I figured out how to rip these be-at streams directly in Windows, even if it is a convoluted way of doing it. What's the next show to be aired? ;)

#1647835Post 24 of 30

Re: Mint Festival 2012 (Soul Clap, Wolf & Lamb, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones & Reboot)

It's not that complicated, if we're still talking about streams.

;)

Do you have news? They did air a Way Out West PA a few years ago.

I had a helluva time grabbing the applicable FLV when trying. Nah, no news. I meant for future reference, as in threads like these. ;)

Yea its pretty easy.. Google Chrome makes it quite easy to find the FLV ;) It helps to have some HTML/coding experience as well.

Re: Mint Festival 2012 (Soul Clap, Wolf & Lamb, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones & Reboot)

Firefox here (I fear a Google universe as much as one ruled by MS or Apple :D). I had used Orbit but it was useless in grabbing the proper FLVs (all it detected were short video-only FLVs). Adobe is making it harder through elusive rtmp streams to find them apparently, or I'm just looking in the wrong places. :P
