Ok I don't usually post anything here other than links..? But this week I feel compelled to say a few things...

Firstly, these recordings weren't encoded live from the usual stream (hence the lower line level), yet the watermarks are loud (thank you Delta FM for sharing on Soundcloud, but do us a favor and normalize your source). Don't you think I know I'm tuned into your bloody radio station?

Secondly, congratulations Guille Quero for being confirmed on another Creamfields BsAs lineup. You & Deep Mariano would have to be one of the only reasons I would go to Creamfields BsAs again this year! (& NOT for bloody David Guetta)

But more so, DeltaFM what the fuck happened with Martin Garcia? His contribution is sorely missed on Delta Club, and let's be honest Mark Knight is hardly a worthy replacement. I for one feel jibbed that not only is he cut from the Delta Club roster, but he's not playing at Creamfields, again this year!

Oh well, rant over... Guess I have to put up with the situation like the rest of the poor souls who don't live in Argentina, and who can't experience Martin Garcia play live (but who love his mixing). Seems we're not worthy of being treated to a new mix these days.

Finally, really like the end of Part 2 with the Gill Norris - Forme (Guy J PM Mix), and that killer track at 23:40.

Did Martin Garcia simply go MIA or does he officially no longer work with Delta?

He's not MIA.. If you're lucky to live in Argentina then sure you could see him play. Just not at Creamfields. LOL

I think the problem is in Martin Garcia, and not everyone else... Delta probably got fed up with him because of all the re-broadcast why pay someone for mixes you have aired like 3 times... Just sounds to me like he is either a premadonna expecting to much, or he is super shy and doesn't like the publicity.
no longer work with Delta?
No more. :(

I dont know why he stoped the show but he has an extremely politic about his music. He dosnt like to fly and planes and i think he even dosnt like speak english, That could be the reason for the "no tours" around the world. In a recent local interview, he explained that he wants to play only decents an exclusive tracks that nobody know, this may be another reason that never releases a tracklist. beyond the rebros and all that. that came from "Main Room" on MetroDance years ago.
or he is super shy and doesn't like the publicity.
And this.

That's kind of how I feel... You can't be shy in this DJ world.

Re: Guille Quero DeltaFM September 11th 2012
He dosnt like to fly and planes
That's bullshit!

When I was in Argentina last year I caught two Aerolineas flights with Martin Garcia on board! Once to Tucuman, the other time to Rosario. All in the same month! Yes the flight was harrowing, and in a plane I wouldn't say was fit to fly but still... You have to go to great lengths to experience great things in life, and I'm certainly glad I did.

Secondly, yes he doesn't speak English very well (if at all) I will agree with you about that..? But not trying to sound racist, seriously after Chinese and Spanish, English is the universal language people... And yes tours DO involve things you mention: i.e. money, politics and exclusivity, which I have to say is nicely catered for in the niche Argentine market.

Mainroom/ Metrodance mixes were (generally speaking) hideously watermarked, just like Hernan's weekly offerings. I'm not complaining, just putting it out there I was happy (even if it was a rebro) to look forward to a little taste of Martin Garcia on a radio station every week. (Since it's not practical for me to live or travel to Argentina regularly just to do so.)

Sorry but I can't help but think "his loss" is actually more a disappointment for those that enjoy his style, yet have to endure his singularity. May he please all those that are lucky enough to attend his events and worship him like the God he can be.

Back on topic.. Guille Quero's show this week will be available as soon as it's released on Soundcloud (because I had no time at work today to get away with streaming it live this week.) Keep you posted. 8)

Re: Guille Quero DeltaFM September 11th 2012

Nope, it's his loss. It's a two way traffic. He has a fan base on the internet, but he is choosing to cut them off and restrict himself geographically. Given the amount of music out there, and the genre constantly progressing, we'll soon forget about him.

Maybe I'll hear a set from him next year, but by then the sound might've progressed so much he could well sound outdated.

Even bands and musicians have to put out albums and music to stay on the radar.
