Fuck me another pathetic post count picture thread.
My initial graph (picture) is an excellent depiction of the how neither ruling political parties in the united states have a grasp on how to manage the country's finances, although both claim all day to have a better answer than the other, when in reality, neither of them have a good solution to the budget. Sorry if you can't grasp that from the picture, or are you just mad because we're not talking about the only 5 things you ever talk about, WTC nonsense, 9/11, bush, iraq, and 3 hour sasha sets? You calling out anything/anyone for being repetitive is hilarious.

Re: Dems and Reps are equally clueless (eventually a WTC7 9/11 thread)

The original pic does have a point...both parties are not doing shit when it comes to any real change.

Re: Dems and Reps are equally clueless (eventually a WTC7 9/11 thread)

Couple reminders:

Reid rallies against raising the debt ceiling in 2006.

And the lying usurper-in-chief:
The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies.

Over the past 5 years, our federal debt has increased by $3.5 trillion to $8.6 trillion. That is “trillion” with a “T.” That is money that we have borrowed from the Social Security trust fund, borrowed from China and Japan, borrowed from American taxpayers. And over the next 5 years, between now and 2011, the President’s budget will increase the debt by almost another $3.5 trillion.

Numbers that large are sometimes hard to understand. Some people may wonder why they matter. Here is why: This year, the Federal Government will spend $220 billion on interest. That is more money to pay interest on our national debt than we’ll spend on Medicaid and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program. That is more money to pay interest on our debt this year than we will spend on education, homeland security, transportation, and veterans benefits combined. It is more money in one year than we are likely to spend to rebuild the devastated gulf coast in a way that honors the best of America.

And the cost of our debt is one of the fastest growing expenses in the Federal budget. This rising debt is a hidden domestic enemy, robbing our cities and States of critical investments in infrastructure like bridges, ports, and levees; robbing our families and our children of critical investments in education and health care reform; robbing our seniors of the retirement and health security they have counted on.

Every dollar we pay in interest is a dollar that is not going to investment in America’s priorities.
Senator Barack Obama Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt March 16, 2006

Oops. Because commiecare is more important than fiscal solvency, I suppose.

So Vinnie, since the Dems and Obama are screwing it up royally in your opinion, who do you have in mind that can fix all this?

Conservative christian republicans? Boy that's a gem of a demographic. Reminder for you, they screwed it up, and continue to screw it up too. Maybe mix in a little "they're all wrong" with your "Obama is wrong" which is the point of the graph at the top.

i'm with Jenks on this one. I would only like to add...that the problem is not their personality. The problems are structural...and this true everywhere not just in the US.

I'm wondering why does everyone on the internets have a huge e-boner over Ron Paul, yet no one else really considers him much of a real candidate, as evidenced sofar. Also he is older than McCain, he is going to be senile soon.

I guess it is probably because he has a pretty strong young/college voter base.

^Perhaps the Neocon's only notable achievement imo.

Christianity, or any religion, has no place in government.

Re: Dems and Reps are equally clueless (eventually a WTC7 9/11 thread)

There's nothing wrong with politicians or govt. officials having religious beliefs (the Pledge of Allegiance itself mentions a deity; there is a nationally foundational basis for having such a belief...I have great doubt a host of atheists would have been as divinely inspired to build a Republic such as what the US once was)...it's when they use it as a weapon that the trouble starts.

That elitist ruling class member, Pelosi, meanwhile thinks we're all alike and implies things like rule of law and fiscal insolvency aren't important:

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/nb-staff/2011/04/13/open-thread-elections-shouldnt-matter-much-they-do-says-pelosi
To my Republican friends: take back your party. So that it doesn’t matter so much who wins the election, because we have shared values about the education of our children, the growth of our economy, how we defend our country, our security and civil liberties, how we respect our seniors. Because there are so many things at risk right now -- perhaps in another question I'll go into them, if you want. But the fact is that elections shouldn't matter as much as they do...But when it comes to a place where there doesn't seem to be shared values then that can be problematic for the country, as I think you can see right now.
She falsely assumes everyone shares her values, that elections shouldn't matter. Totalitarianism much? Yup.

Re: Dems and Reps are equally clueless (eventually a WTC7 9/11 thread)

ron paul is a pussy. yeah, he is smart, but he is a pushover.

to make a comment on jenks' first picture post, if we want to fix our budget we need someone with proven business/budget experience. i don't think obama has any... i could be wrong, i really don't know. my opinion here, i think mitt romney has a helluva lot of experience in that area and he'd be a good candidate to fix the budget. notice i didn't say be the president. having said that, i don't think there's any candidate that will ever have enough experience in all the shit america is dealing with now... so, well shit, maybe we can have presidents, not a president? lol.... i think we're almost too far gone for me to care a whole lot anymore.

That almost made me throw up.
it's when they use it as a weapon that the trouble starts.
it's when a politicians religious beliefs influence their judgment on making laws that govern citizens, is when the trouble starts.
That elitist ruling class member, Pelosi,
We agree. I hate this woman. Die in a fire Pelosi.

Re: Dems and Reps are equally clueless (eventually a WTC7 9/11 thread)

I'm not saying atheists can't be upstanding citizens, Jenks. I just question the resolve of those who don't stand for anything greater than humanity and the "survival of the fittest" to come up with a system of government that ensures the greatest amount of personal liberty as was the case in what was formerly our Republic. To the Founders, their personally held religious beliefs and views on morality were inseparable (at least in public...they of course had skeletons in their closets). I know many of you would call me a wacko for expressing such beliefs and find them detestable, but I'm tired of being apologetic.

That's a really interesting point Garrick... i'm going to be thinking about that for a while I know it... (pontificating or whatever)... we are so globally connected now, the problems are so multi-faceted, it's going to be really difficult for people to be pleased with one person, so let's all quit pissing and moaning about Obama because the complaining is completely futile really.

Divine republic my ass...its that kind of talk that starts wars and gets people thinking their shit doesn't stink...I cannot fucking believe what I just read...living in the fucking dark age.
