Re: Lmfao
wow, that was hilariously terrible. he's getting worse.
The NFL wouldn't work if they had 8 teams contributing nothing but got a share of the profits made on the backs of others. If all the players on those 8 teams are paid to do little more than show up, what's the point of even paying them? Wait, if we pay them MORE money, maybe they'll be more productive on the field?
Did Maher conveniently forget Tampa Bay? Rockies? Rangers? Tigers? Marlins? Angles? Giants? Diamondbacks?
Did he forget about Pittsburgh, Indy, and New England dominating superbowls and divisions over the past decade?
Did he really equate a sport with short seasons and fewer games that is ten times more exciting to a sport that has a really long season, more teams, and is quite boring most of the game? They like football because it's....more redistributive....or because of something entirely different? Pardon, but I guess I might be the only one who never saw socialism appealing because it was a violent, ground acquisition competition.
edit: is not the NFL one giant corporation that redistributes within the company (ie. the different corporate divisions aka teams?)
look how well it's helped the detroit lions :(

of course we did.
- American's like socialism
- This is because football, described as 'socialist' is more popular than baseball which is 'capitalist'.
- ??????
- Republicans are hypocrites.

religulous?
Re: Lmfao
religulous is the worst movie ever!! OMG I couldnt' take it anymore. It's like "we get it you hate everyone including God Bill.." Everyone is so stupid in the eyes of Bill.
I wonder if there is something wrong with people named Bill? Bill O'Reilly & Bill Maher. The world would be a better place without them.
Re: Lmfao
Bill's from my experience do know it all... but whatever... runningman whats your real name again? jk... Bill Maher's show is solid, I don't care what anyone says or thinks.
Re: Lmfao

Re: Lmfao
What's this? "I know you are, but what am I" malarkey? Bill Maher is an unfunny comedian who condescends anyone who doesn't share his warped worldview. You act as if I'm the solitary board member that holds this negative view.
Re: Lmfao
not solitary, but very small minority.
Re: Lmfao
i think he's a bit of a cock...tbh...nothing he says is revolutionary or anything but obvious...and he sells the same crap to the US public as though he is some kind of genius. that's the impression I got anyway...kinda an arrogant prick. Please note I am talking about personality here; religioulous is a good film if you live in hicksville USA and you never thought about religion in objective or scientific terms because everything stated is pretty damn clear to anyone with a brain.
(if anyone is insulted sorry )
Re: Lmfao

For the record, this thread has nothing to do with the shit movie that is "religulous" or the jokes Bill Maher makes at Sarah Palin each week on his show. He hosts a round table each week consisting of sometimes 3 republicans after having interviewed someone such as the majority whip of the Repub party. My point is, I like his show because he is someone who is open to listening to both sides of the political isle while asking honest questions, taking questions from the internet, etc. If you don't watch "real time" each week, then you can't really comment.
For the record, I find Jon Steward, Colbert unpallatable.
Re: Lmfao
^dr neil degrasse tyson this week was pretty good. i can see why people like him.
Re: Lmfao
:Twilo:
daaaaaaammmnn! i love ice cream socials; all about balanced free market capitals!
Re: Lmfao
The political "isle" indeed. ;-) His "openness" to other viewpoints only goes skin deep...I used to watch him in the 90s and I had my fill of his shenanigans/antics.
Re: Lmfao

It may be that all your views are negative. I actually feel sad that reading your posts you don't feel anything positive. You really need to be able to laugh sometimes. He is funny whether you agree with him or not.

(if anyone is insulted sorry )
I think that his appeal to me is that he puts things into perspective, he points out that nothing is revolutionary and that it IS all obvious, and in a funny way. He is not meant to be taken particularly seriously. People seem to judge him on whether they agree with him or not, that's immaterial .
Just for the record I enjoyed Religulous, it was so good to see an American taking the piss  I love his Sarah Palin jokes :) The more her stupidity is pointed out the better off the world is. I hate to say it but a lot of people judge America on the fact that she could have been within the very week heartbeat of John Cain of leading America . As long as she is taken seriously, it will continue to be how America is judged .
What I don't like is that he stops and laughs at his own jokes halfway through.
Re: Lmfao
^Because the world is going so swimmingly well with the usurping Nobel peace prize winner running the show, amirite?
My attitude reflects the state of the world, and pissing and moaning about Palin's "stupidity" while giving the current ignoramus in the WH a free pass is what galls my mind.
Re: Lmfao
You are the cat who is going to keep saying above no matter who is in office now or next term. Same 'olde same 'olde. Since Obama didn't change the world in 2 years he is evil. Same will go for the next person, and the next...
Re: Lmfao
Nah, I'd just like someone in power who has a sense of American values (and is actually vetted and eligible to hold office and didn't issue an EO to lock up his past as if something to hide) and wasn't raised and mentored by commies (Frank Marshall Davis, the FBI reports reveal just how subversive this mentor was) and surrounded by colleagues who are radicals (Ayers), racists (Jeremiah Wright) and other similar malcontents. He plays it all off and the ones who bitch about Palin the loudest lap it right up. We're supposed to believe that none of this history has any bearing on his role as the chief executive and frankly, that's just more cognitive dissonance from a pseudo-intellectual leftwing mindset...aka liberal dementia.

Re: Lmfao
fuck me chugging backwards... we're a pseudo democracy rite? shit D O TH NOT COMMENCE RIGHT. srsly, wake up and turn on the CSPAN... nothing happpens.
im not eveing kidding: cmon fellas, hook a brotha up ;(
Re: Lmfao
Typical response, Rez. When you're entering the FEMA camp trying to get a bowl of soup and wondering what happened to your buying power, I'd like to see how funny you think it still is. Tell me how O'Commie holds a chairman seat at the UN while supposedly being the chief executive of the US and how that's even constitutional. He's above the law and he acts like it with impunity.
Re: Lmfao
^first off, dont count of the gov't to do jack and or shit for you, first mistake. see: hurricane katrina. that was pre communist obama. kthxbai.
Re: Lmfao
No joke...how many people do you know who have gardens or a year or more's worth of food? Those folks (and sadly I'm one of them) will be SOL. Meanwhile, it'd be nice if these corrupt bureaucrats would take steps to keep this from happening (like not allowing the FED, a private consortium of international bankers, to operate autonomously), yet I see little evidence of that aside from a few tea partiers (the Paul brothers namely).
Re: Lmfao
^You know why that will never happen unfortunately: because this is the USA and the system is setup to not let change like that in. Kickbacks, back scratching and all of that shit will never go away. The people in power all have it setup so they will stay in power. The docu about Jack Abramoff is a good example of this, and until 100% of the money is taken out of the equation of anything in the gov't, its going to stay the same unfortunately. Only small incremental change at best, nothing sweeping will ever occur.
Re: Lmfao
A tax revolt would fix things up real quick. The $2.5 billion GOP deficit-reducing initiative barely scrapes the surface.

I would agree with that...if they don't make radical changes they are a part of the problem.

Re: Lmfao
I would agree with that...if they don't make radical changes they are a part of the problem.
the problem is no one will be able to do that. look at how well obama's healthcare plan has gone over with the rest of congress. small incremental changes are only what will ever change in washington.
Re: Lmfao
Not just Congress. Close to 1000 waivers have been filed, and the aristocrats are not bound by the same healthcare law and mandate they foist on the rest of us. Screw that.
