Well four loser Republicans quit today fearing violence after the shooting in Tucson. There logic was "I won't take a bullet for anyone." Well politics isn;t for everyone and it sure doesn't look like the Republicans have the nerve for it. I have never heard such a loser statement in all my life. I won't take a bullet for anyone? Well why did you run for public service? Since the beginning of time it has been dangerous to be in politics.

Fucking losers I'm glad you quit.

These stories are just to smear the grassroots campaign that the media has labelled the "tea party." It really is the "Americans are pissed of being robbed and treated like shit" party. I of course am not condoning that psycho's action at all I mean that guy looks like a Meth head satanist. But the media is just smearing anyone they want with this lone wolf.

Dont try and blame Palin (even though I cant stand her stupid ass) so quickly, he met the congresswoman a good while back also before this happened. You could blame a million external factors as inciting this incident if you wish. Shit just watch TV here for a night and you will have at least 10k excuses to blame someone else.

This dude is just fucking crazy.

Re: The Smearing of the Tea Party

At the moment, there is absolutely no connection between Loughner and the tea party movement.

Bryce Tierney a long time friend of Loughner has some interesting things to say.

http://motherjones.com/politics/2011...message?page=1

He is mentally unstable, that's the one thing we can all agree on.

There was also some chatter in the US about this shooting being connected to anti semitism, Gifford being Jewish and all. But it appears that Loughner is Jewish himself and that his mother Amy Loughner is also a member of the same synagogue as Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

Guess there won't be any reports by the msm correcting some of the initial claims or the reasons why.

Not at all, they're just a distraction. Just give it a little time to blow over and then things will be back to normal.

Always remember, if the media is pushing it, then they're in on it.

you may be may be a day ahead, but your news must be five days behind. She did NOT put a gunsight on someones head. And if she did, you have the burden of showing that picture. Otherwise, stop your bellyachin'.

Not only did she NOT put a gunsight on someones head, there is ZERO...i repeat....ZERO connections between Loughner and Palin. There is no connection between Loughner and any political person, radio personality, tv personality, or otherwise.

So if there is no connection, how could he..."take this [the non-existent gun-sight-on-someones-head] to heart"?

Afterall, his Loughner's friends have claimed him to be a pot-smoking liberal. one who doesn't watch tv. or listen to radio. or reading newspapers or magazines.

"particularly one that has an axe to grind" <--this is even more ridiculous. Why? Because all of the evidence is showing that his 'ax' was in want of grinding back in 2007, if not beforehand.

So what now? You gonna pin a Wasilla mayorial speech on his psychotic outbreak? el-oh-el m8.

Irresponsible? Sure. Incredibly stupid? That's projection.

Re: The Smearing of the Tea Party

I'm surprised nobody has addressed the fact that the Republican party reps quite out of fear. That is not American. I guess because the Republican party leadership is Anti American. Both parties should be ashamed of themselves for how they are salivating at the mouth over this tragedy.

Also why would anyone want to shoot congressmen or women? Everyone knows they are irrelevant now a days. The banks are the ones that did the robbing?

It's getting pretty old at this point, boys. We ain't going nowhere, keep up the homo slurs and belittling whilst pretending November didn't happen.

This is by no means a defense for the quitters, just a response to those who have nothing to add but the same incessant slurs. It's about as meaningless as the lefties have made the term "racist."

Re: The Smearing of the Tea Party

p.s. if the Tea Baggers are really that concerned about how they perceive themselves as being "smeared" (when it really comes off more as themselves trying to portray themselves as bigger victims than the people who suffered in Tucson at the hands of an extremely balanced individual), maybe they might want to consider the rhetoric that some of their more reasonable counterparts have spewed towards Muslims - as in condemning and distancing themselves from their more extreme counterparts:

If they knock off the bullshit demagoguery and actually take control of their media image they won't be coming off like the racist, xenophobic sore losers that won't let 2008 go.

Re: The Smearing of the Tea Party

Oh, here we go again, racists, lol. Used so much that whatever meaning it once had has been deflated by the left so ready to pounce on the imagined suppression of minorities.

0bama's history is nowhere close to an open book, so the first one is at worst just jumping to conclusions (but suggesting that one should rightly not rely on that forged COLB that is doing the rounds and yes, emphasizing his Muslim roots and tendencies...oh, the horror). The second image isn't a far leap...the AARP and AMA were in nearly euphoric masturbation in support of CronyCare upon passage, and 222 companies have been issued waivers to opt out of its requirements for this year (I have a better idea, REPEAL!). Do I think the neocons are guilty of similar shenanigans? Definitely. Routing out that strong lobbying influence is what's so difficult in the entrenched cesspool that is Washington, but a healthcare takeover and new set of entitlements is not the way to go forward when the country is bankrupt (Geithner admitted this week our insolvency; getting the hell out of Iraq and Afghanistan yesterday would be a good idea as well) and not addressing the cause of escalating costs (lawyers, big one). I've seen and heard enough bad things about socialized medicine (including a friend who has waited 18 months now to address a surgically correctable elbow problem) to know that universal healthcare is not all it's made out to be either (long waiting lists, subpar care, rationed care) and that most stats are made up. Speaking of stats, 54% still want the miserable bill killed, and the tea partiers have hit a chord with that cross-section of American voices. When the cure is worse than the disease, who wants it?

Sorry for my lack of faith, I'll try to go watch some more MSNBC in the hopes of being successfully politically rehabilitated (FOX is shittier in some ways, since they are merely controlled opposition).

I'm only asking because we have it in Australia and every single person is entitled to it no matter what. And there isn't a single person that I know who wishes for it to be gone.

You have a point. but 'controlling their media image' is such a horseshit request. Only the media controls their image. this is why the MSM keyed them as the scapegoats for the shooting before the bodies had been put in the ambulance.

Of COURSE nobody in australia wishes it to be gone. They're having access to a private good paid for by the hard work of other people. If you rob peter to pay paul, you can always expect the support of paul.

Attacking other country's isnt defense its attack. They are sustaining a war for no other reason than generating money for private company's. The british soldier these days is a mercenary and I don't want to pay for them. When was the last time the UK or the US had to defend itself? Most people opposed the Iraq war, we still invaded it. Islam is a religion not a race, so being racist against someone's religious roots is plain ignorance..and that board saying "go back to Kenya" is fukin racist and it will only make them appear as so, what about all the other black people in America, shud they also go back to Africa and their roots, maybe all the white people too shud go and find which part of europe they were originally from and go back to it, the term "Go back to your country" should not be applied in the US coz it would be left with the native indians in complete peace...George Bush Jr was the best president of the united states and he wasnt Muslim, or black, so...!! Im just surprised they didnt give that psycho a muslim name and link it to terrorism...

National Health is a public good. People looking after its own citizens. It’s like this whole patriot nonsense. We wave the patriotic flag, but really we couldn't give a fuck about each other. The army is not public when most of the country oppose an invasion but the government still sends them to war anyway.
