are any of you familiar with tax laws?

did tax laws change this yr?

I always file in january and i have never NOT gotten my entire refund of what I paid out.

Say i usually pay 1000 in federal i have always gotten back 1000. If i were to have paid 1000 this year, i just went to file and it basically told me i am only eligible to receive 300 back? Generic amounts of course.

I dont get how it changed so drastically?!

get yerself a CPA.

i always file an extension, as i have to pay in every year.

I am a student...i barely make over 17,000 before taxes i shouldnt need a CPA!

I seriously have used the same service for 4-5 yrs now, and i have made around the same amount that whole time. I just dont understand what makes the numbers change so drastically this year!

Re: tax laws 2005

it really depends on your gross annual income, you proably jumped into the higher bracket. also, school deductions and insurance deductions change. like i said. PM me, ill do it in return for some beer when i head to beantown.

is there a way to look up the tax brackets online?

i guess i may have gone into the next one, i did make more money than previous years. but still, im poor and make under 20,000 i deserve that money back lol

has all your forms and instruction books...as well as any changes made.

oh and don't Telefile...there's a bug in the system that screwed up some people's numbers which threw everything WAY off (both in income and taxes payable)
