again, all the problems in sudan can be attributed to the effects of (British) colonialism...

but that's besides the point right now. i'm glad secretary powell late this summer finally concluded the events taking place merited being called "genocide." let's hope they fulfill their obligations under international law now.

The UN is not cooperating in that case, they still refuse to call it a genocide, and I just don't understand why. All they've come up with so far are those no-good resolution, which don't have any effect at all, besides having Al-Bashir laughing his ass off and giving them the finger...

China and Pakistan even vetoed sanctions after expiry of the second resolution period. How's that?
