The purpose is to sustain a war. It doesn't matter where it is as long as there is a war somewhere. Iraq moved to Afghanistan, Afghanistan will end when a new enemy has been invented. Cameron and Obalm have just remortgaged Afghanistan for another 5 years. Thats 5 years the have to train the Taliban and find a new enemy. Bussiness as usual.

Chunky it already sounds like Pakistan will be the new bad guys considering mercenaries and special forces have already been there for a couple years. Also let's not forget the drone attacks killing funeral procession and weddings.. Oh and hospitals..
