Re: Times Square Terror Alert

Fucking christ, you wont be happy with what happens unless the entire island of Manhattan is evacuated anytime anything like this happens. But since that is impossible it allows you to continue your nonsense. Vindicated.

The media is trying to pawn this off as Paki Taliban when it is more likely a lone wolf woho is pissed at Blackwater being in Pakistan and the killing of thousands and displacement of millions.

I will accept :Respect: :iloveyou: :sorry: :bowdown2

any of the above will do.
Uh, you can't claim to be vindicated on account of you thinking the story falls in line with your theory, even though the coverage of the story says nothing of the sort. Nothing that I've seen, including the link you posted, supports the idea that this is retribution for drone attacks in Pakistan or that it has anything to do with those attacks at all. As a matter of fact, I don't think there's enough info out there to draw many conclusions about it at all, which was kinda the point of my earlier post.

#1369728Post 43 of 81

Re: Times Square Terror Alert

making confirm conclusions on no evidence is the M.O. tho!

I wouldn’t expect them to evacuate Manhattan although they managed it on 9/11. .I was watching this live on TV as they where interviewing members of the public and found it strange how they allowed the public so close when they didn’t have any information on the terrorist. When the IRA where bombing in the UK surrounding streets where closed of as part of precaution in case there where secondary devices. Normal protocol would be to move any members of the public off the streets as much as possible.

Re: Times Square Terror Alert

So since people were 'close', this must mean the cops and everyone on up the chain were in on some type of conspiracy right? Since they were in on the conspiracy thats why they didnt move anyone back?

Re: Times Square Terror Alert

No I’m saying that a country with such a poor record of protecting the citizens should really have some better protocols in place.

Re: Times Square Terror Alert

Toasty do you actually believe that it would say in the papers that "It is a rogue Pakistani who is upset because his parents were killed in a drone attack?" of course not because that would build up the argument that using the military to combat terrorism is counterproductive. The military bombings are actually creating terrorism.

Now either I am Psychic and predicted three months ago that it would be blamed on a Paki, or the writing is on the wall you just have to read between the lines a bit. My story makes sense. The story about "they hate our freedom and liberty or way of life" is just propaganda BS.

It's simple math you see- You drop bombs on Pakistan - Paki's get mad - Paki's come fuck with you = Simple Prediction. This isn't pie in the sky stuff here. The American Public needs to start seeing through the propaganda that the machine is pumping out right now.

Wow these super radical Islamists sure do play the flute quick eh?? Damn.. 24hrs after the incident this guy is confessing to the whole thing and cooperating with police. What happened to these suicide radicals who wanted martydom so badly, they don't believe in the cause?
I thought it was interesting the way they cordoned off such a small area when they discovered the car. It’s strange how the police never suspected the possibility of more than one device. They where interviewing people on the news who where more than content to hang around and see what’s going on not far from the device
maybe here in the u.k. we're kind of more used to "real" terrorism. The I.R.A. for example, who used to bomb the uk mainland with a view to causing as much damage (terror) as they could. It wasn't for show or to score some kind of media victory, they were fighting for something they truly believed in and it was (although not conventional), a war.

In those times, if a bomb was discovered (or had already gone off) the tendency was to get the fuck out of the whole area asap.

What we are seeing at the moment is a load of bollocks. People who feel strongly enough about their cause can cause serious damage if they choose to, think about it, it would be so easy to do. Forget 9/11 and the london bombings for a moment (both of which are considered by many to be the work of secret services anyhow) and what have you got?

fuck all

terrorists eh? they don't make em like they used to

It is so painful trying to have a discussion with you because your grasp on the principles of logical deduction is soooooo tenuous. No, the fact that your theory has not been conclusively disproven does not mean that your theory must be correct. One does not follow from the other. Period.

Re: Times Square Terror Alert

What part doesn't add up? The killing of innocent people doesn't piss people off?

What next a Saudi pipeline getting blown up by Yemen and blaming that on Al Qaeda?

Re: Times Square Terror Alert
I just dont see the super huge scare every time this happens. It is fucked up and yes it is happening, but is it really that hard to do? I mean someone could walk down to the middle of times square with a backpack filled with hand grenades, pull the pin on one and boom. Its not that hard to kill a big group of people with a bomb, all it takes is just someone fucked up enough to do it.

Evan Kohlmann, a terrorism expert at Flashpoint Partners, is most struck by the amateurishness of what he calls "this so-called bomb." The alarm clocks designed to trigger the blast were 1960s-era technology. "Every terror group, every homegrown extremist cell, knows how to use remote detonators," he says. "It doesn't take a Ph.D. in electrical engineering." Beyond that, Kohlmann adds, its overall design — clocks setting off fireworks to ignite gas and gasoline — "doesn't exist outside of Tom and Jerry cartoons."
I am vindicated yet again. I said months ago that Paki's were gonna start bombing the US because of the drone bombings in Pakistan. This has nothing to do with "our way of life" this is revenge for the massacre of thousands of Paki's. There are over 1 million displaced as well because of the US involvment in Pakistan.

Did you think you could just drop bombs on people and they wouldn't seek revenge?
i think the U.S should mind its own business & let others mind their own....so that ppl would leave it alone..u cant go interfere in everyone`s country & attack what u see as a threat for u & afterwards u dont want to be revenged??its no about nationalities or religions...its just stupid U.S politics that are leading us to these kinda topics!

Re: Times Square Terror Alert

Complete incompetence all the way around. The FBI loses him and fortunately someone with some intelligence figured out he shouldn't be on a plane and he's arrested.

It all starts with a wannabe terrorist who can't make an effective bomb with training in a terrorist camp in Pakistan. He doesn't have the sense to get immediately out of the country after the failed bombing. He uses a vehicle that is traceable back to him through a VIN # on the engine block. Then the FBI loses him in tailing him from Connecticut to New York's JFK airport. He boards the plane with a 10 year old expired passport. The airline doesn't check the no fly list. Fortunately someone in customs is smart enough to do their job and realize that he's not supposed to be on that plane.

This is the second attempted terror attack in the last few months where we've been lucky yet again. I'm worried one of these terrorist will be smart enough and capable enough to do something next time.

Re: Times Square Terror Alert

This is a pretty good write up of the current US terrorism situation I think. It's by Bruce Schneier who is a computer and general security consultant.

http://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2010/05/why_arent_there.html

Why Aren't There More Terrorist Attacks?
As the details of the Times Square car bomb attempt emerge in the wake of Faisal Shahzad's arrest Monday night, one thing has already been made clear: Terrorism is fairly easy. All you need is a gun or a bomb, and a crowded target. Guns are easy to buy. Bombs are easy to make. Crowded targets -- not only in New York, but all over the country -- are easy to come by. If you're willing to die in the aftermath of your attack, you could launch a pretty effective terrorist attack with a few days of planning, maybe less.

But if it's so easy, why aren't there more terrorist attacks like the failed car bomb in New York's Times Square? Or the terrorist shootings in Mumbai? Or the Moscow subway bombings? After the enormous horror and tragedy of 9/11, why have the past eight years been so safe in the U.S.?
The whole story stinks to high heaven. First we had the underwear bomber who was let on a plane without a passport. And now we have this dudes "attempt" at blowing shit up with a device which "doesn't exist outside of Tom and Jerry cartoons."

Seriously.

Yeah them ones. I wasn't really making a point of who started it just that the Christians are partial to a bit of killing as well as the Muslims. 1000's of knights traveling across Europe to take control of a piece of land that they read about in a fictional book.
