Re: The War on Truthers

it's common sense that if the support structures of a building are damaged then it's likely to fall. damaged supports can only hold so much weight for a certain amount of time before they collapse. buildings were not meant to withstand airplane attacks [/QUOTE]

John Skilling was the head structural engineer for the World Trade Center. In a 1993 interview, Skilling stated that the Towers were designed to withstand the impact and fires resulting from the collision of a large jetliner such as Boeing 707 or Douglas DC-8.

This has been verified many times before. Miro tried to use this argument before using one of the architects Aaron Swirsky (check out Aaron Swirsky at 17.45 on the video below)

NIST argued that the plane in mind when the towers where being designed was a lot smaller
and carried less fuel than the planes that hit the towers. It's all in the Astonishing thread. There was nowhere near enough damage or fire on Building 7 for a collapse to occur. Get Res0 to show you the photo.
You also have the Madrid skyscraper fire burned for 2 days and didn't collapse.

Deepwater Horizon oil burned for 7 days with a constant fuel supply and the structure didn't weaken
