FINALLY... someone offers an informed, intelligent perspective on the health care debate. This should be mandatory reading for everyone who is holding socialist/communist/nazi signs at the rallies. If they can't read, they should have it read to them very slowly.

Re: Don't cut our (public) health care

The benefits of a public health care scheme are so pain strikingly obvious...yet it does not surprise me that it is a big issue of "debate" in the US. Nothing about the US really surprises me anymore... Anyone who has any form of health care provided by their employer owes it to "socialism". . . Its really irritating reading news from the US. I am honestly continuously stunned how uniformed, uninterested and plain stupid a large proportion of the US population is.

I would disagree and glad to see that the last few years people have been informed and some misinformed by protesting Bush and now Obama. There wouldn't be such a debate if the public was disinterested right now. Obama would have already had his health care bill passed.
